Great beach, super dog friendly. Sea goes out for miles when the tide is low! Slightly muddy in parts, but with the right pair of boots, it's a fab walk!
Well located car park for the town and castle. Lots of parking spaces, plus toilets and a little cafe in the middle.nnMain complaint was the parking machines which wouldn't take cards when we visited only cash or pay by phone.nnParking is fairly reasonable under £5 for more than four hours.
Good carpark with plenty of spaces. Small cafe in middle of carpark selling hot food, ice cream and hot and cold drinks, the pay machine does not accept card payments, it is cash only and takes coins, there is an option to pay by phone if you have no cash. Just a very short walk to the castle and town. Just under £5.00 for 4 hours and free if you have a blue badge and park in a designated disabled bay.
