Elegant castle located in a beautiful surroundings. Facing river & harbour one side. Still remaining tall towers will give you a fabulous view. Although only parts of the buildings remains, there are lot of areas to explore. There are narrow stairs to climb in those towers but well worth a try. Plenty of pay and display parking spaces available just at the entrance. It's worth a visit if around North Wales.
Walking around the wall is the exciting part of this castle. Huge towers have the narrow spiral staircase for us to climb to the top and view great scenery. We enjoyed the East Barbican's views. These castle gardens overlook the Conwy estuary and its bridges, including spectacular suspension bridge.
Excellent and beautiful castle with amazing, tall towers and great views from the top. Well worth a visit and the effort of climbing to the top of the towers. Great shop/visitor centre and wall walkway along the castle car park too. Lovely town too, Conwy. Very unique roads in and out and behind castle, like driving through the medieval times! Heritage card holders in for free too! - that was a pleasant suprise with my Historic Scotland membership!
Car park next to the castle. Couldn't pay at the machine. But pay online. Price oknThe castle is pretty and very nice view, the cost is 12£ so not expensive at all and the small town is also pretty. A lots of restaurants and shops around. Has to be very nice in summer
Fantastically preserved 700+ year old Medeival castle - the finest you'll see of its type - set within a walled town with a picturesque waterside location.nnYou have acres to several floors and towers throughout the castle, with stunning views from the very top of the river and nearby hills, and at a dizzying height over the town below.nnThe history is particularly fascinating, and visitors of all ages will be swept up in the scale. You can easily spend an hour or two here, even with young kids, and the ticket piece is not unreasonable given the venue.nnComes well recommended.
