Moretonhampstead Motor Museum

About

Moretonhampstead Motor Museum is home to a collection of over 100 vintage vehicles, from Victorian horse-drawn carts to cars, motorcycles and vans.

Story

We have over 100 vintage vehicles, from Victorian horse-drawn carts to cars, motorcycles and light commercial vehicles from pre-1920s to the 1990s. Run by two local motoring enthusiasts, Frank Loft and Pete Lofts, the museum is housed in a newly refurbished bus depot in Moretonhampstead, Devon. The collection is complemented by motoring artefacts and automobilia, and the viewable restoration workshop makes it more than just a museum.

Great collection of cars, motorbikes and pedal bikes with the history provided on each one. £10 pp entry not £5 as per Google and street parking outside. Bring a warm jacket.nnThe owner has amassed a fascinating display of cars and parts, and appears to do the maintenance himself on site.nnDownstairs chiefly cars; upstairs cars and motorbikes. Some interesting pedal bikes too, including 1928 Sunbeam, and fun to see the 'evolution' of bikes with petrol parts.
A very nice museum to visit. The collection includes cars, motorbikes, bicycles, cars for kids, car models, posters, service equipment, and other related items. Definitely worth to visit and pay 10 pounds.
We had a lovely trip around the museum and were able to take pictures of vehicles that my parents had in days of old.
I came here mainly to look at the bikes, but there is a great collection of cars here too! You can see that this is a labour of love for the owner... definitely worth a visit.
We paid a visit to this truly wonderful place last week. If you like old cars and bikes and all things auto-motive from bygone days, then this is the place to come ! A truly amazing collection ! The owner, Frank was most welcoming and informative. There's no street parking, so use the Court Street car park which is just a short walk down the road. Even cheap to park !
