I was referred to Mary for assessment. She was amazing, she put me a very nervous patient at complete ease. She has since completed root canal treatment and x-rays indicate that the tooth and surrounding area are healing well. Considering this tooth was originally crowned elsewhere in 2014 and has been an issue ever since, I am delighted. I have no hesitation in recommending Mary without reservation. I wish she did regular dental work as I know where I would be going. I should add that the reception staff are very helpful and tried on several occasions to get me seen sooner.
This is a fabulous practice. Dr Simmons did a brilliant job rebuilding my worn teeth and bad bite. Harriet and the reception team were lovely too. I highly recommend Moreton Rd dental practice.
Moreton Road is an exceptional Dental practice. I have been a patient here now for roughly 6 months. My first appointment was an emergency appointment due to an infection in the gum around my wisdom tooth. Manish saw me on the same day of calling even though at this point I wasn't a patient. My gum was extremely sensitive and sore, yet I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort as he examined and cleaned around the infected area. My regular dentist is Preeyan who is top class. Very clam, relaxed and professional. I have had a few appointments now, including fillings and once again, no discomfort at all. Everything is explained in detail with photos of the work being carried out. I would recommend Preeyan to anyone, as he makes being a dental patient easy and is very calming. I have also had a hygienist appointment, with Megan, I believe, who was very friendly and professional. The cleaning carried out was no issue whatsoever with no discomfort on my part. Once again everything was explained with detail as the appointment went along. All in all, this dental practice is first class. I have been to other dental practices that I feel accumulate treatments in order to gain as much money out of you as they can without really caring about you as a patient. Moreton Road treat you like a patient, putting you and your care first rather than trying to take your money. If you are concerned or nervous about Covid, the other thing I would add is that this is the most Covid safe and conscious environment I have visited - very clean and the staff are very much on the ball when it comes the practices of keeping the environment safe for everyone. All of the staff here are amazing. Very friendly and caring. From the front of house team, who are always very welcoming and friendly to the dental nurses and dentists themselves. I couldn't recommend this practice enough.
Robert has been my dentist for about 20 years, the last 14 of which have been since I moved 75 miles away and there is no way I would go to anyone else. I am rather fussy so it is a pleasure for me to trust Robert's every decision, his skill and his caring attention to detail. The reason I'm writing a review now is that he removed my upper wisdom teeth last week and it was virtually pain-free! I thought I'd get watery eyes from the injections, but nope. I would not have believed that removing two awkward-to-reach back teeth could be done so efficiently and skilfully. I was more than impressed. And whilst there was a tiny ache in my jaw when chewing too much turkish delight that evening whoops, there was no swelling or pain at any point. Every time I go there I feel extremely well looked after and each visit is efficient and slick. He also has lovely hygienists and a kind, intelligent reception team who take the trouble to know who they are talking to. I have never doubted the hygiene of the practice and during the pandemic, it was even more obvious that they clearly prioritise the quality of patient safety over the quantity of patients, which was reassuring considering the proximity required in dentistry. I look forward to my visits, even that last one, as I knew that if anyone could make teeth removal a "pleasure" it would be Robert! Thank you!
MRDP is the best dental practice I have ever known. There are 3 things that I especially appreciate: First, the whole team are committed to professional excellence in every detail - nothing less will do. Second, they regard me as a complete human being, not just a patient. And third, their friendly and genuine approach makes each visit to the dentist, well, almost a pleasure!
I cannot recommend Robert highly enough. He is the best dentist I have ever had. He is extremely professional and a wonderful person to boot. It is not worth compromising on dental care; he is worth every penny. In addition to Robert, Emma and Claire on reception are a joy whenever I come to the practice. They are super friendly, professional and helpful. In short, I think anyone would struggle to do better than this wonderful team. Thank you Reuben
Robert has know me since I was a teenager prior to me living in different countries & counties!! I’ve always tried to seek superior dentistry but have only ever trusted Robert to make the right decisions about my teeth!! It is very telling I drive 50 mins to see him and all at his practice frequently. Robert is super with my two children as well; no worries of dentist phobia with either of them thankfully!! Mary conducts all root canals within the practice, she does such wonderful & thorough treatments for me I find myself asleep in the chair!! I finally managed to persuade my Mother to visit Catherine who was simply amazing & instantly calmed her during dental checks, she is much happier going for visits now after 60yrs of hating dentist appointments!! The location works well, I’ve always been able to park on the road so far!! The practice is kept clean and tidy at all times & is wonderfully light & bright. The dental nurses are fantastic & a great asset to the team not forgetting the cheery receptionist & practice manager too. It’s cliche to say but so very true.....I cannot speak more highly of this dental practice!! Well done team!!!
The practice is welcoming and convenient location. The dentist was recommended by my neighbour, and he is very patient and professional. He helped me to feel relaxed during the procedure. I can not be happier as a patient who has always been scared of going to dental practice. will definitely go back!
After having 3 failed root canal treatments at other practices, Mary and her team completed the job perfectly and the after care service has been first class. The ladies were very accommodating when I had to alter my appointment time at late notice. I now travel nearly 2 hours to visit as it is the only dentist I trust! A lovely, friendly team! See you soon!
UPDATE: Moreton Dental refunded me the money I spent in full and apologised. However I cannot get back the weeks of pain I suffered. In the meantime I've seen another dentist who diagnosed me with acute TMD temporomandibular dysfunction. It has been a month since another dentist fixed my bite and instructed me to only eat soft foods, etc. Now I am no longer suffering from serve migraines or back pain, none of which I had ever suffered from before this whole crown debacle. But my jaw is still not fully recovered and I still am eating only soft foods to avoid anymore serious interventions as I am still not fully recovered. I will keep this review up because I feel like women being treated as "hysterical" when we continue to say we have pain is something that needs to stop with doctors and dentists. I was polite for six weeks, asking for help from three different dentists at Moreton Road and I was put off as a woman who doesn't know her own body or her own pain and told that I was just "stressed" out. Original Post: I have spent over £3,000 with Moreton Dental for pain and suffering over the last 6 weeks. I have also lost money from missed work because I have had to take sick days due to toothache, jaw ache, back pain and migraines, and now have more damage to my teeth than before I became a patient at Moreton Road. If you value your health, time, and money, don’t be as foolish as I was; avoid this dentistry. These other 'good reviews' must be fake or people who have not had any serious dental work done at Moreton Road. My experience is far from what these people have reported. I had some crowns put on. The dentist even said at the time, “Oh, your bite is off now,” right after fitting the crowns, but my appointment was over, so I was rushed out the door with the words, “I know your bite is not right, but, come back next week, and we will fix it.” It was like the Tesco checkout. And let me tell you, Google reviewers, I was naïve to believe this dentist cared about fixing the mistakes with the crowns. I returned the next week and suddenly the dentist seemed to forget what had been said to me the week prior. The following five weeks, I kept politely reaching out, reporting worse symptoms, migraines, neck pain, and back pain. I asked from the very beginning, for the crowns to be removed as they hurt so badly that I was popping ibuprofen like candy and I have had crowns before so I knew this was not right. I continued asking for help, and I did not receive it. I was told 'crowns can hurt badly for up to three months' and given other excuses. Over these weeks, my other teeth started to get chipped from the bad bite, which the dentist acknowledged were new chips since I had the crowns but refused to admit it had anything to do with the crowns. Those newly chipped teeth also began to become sensitive and hurt. Again the dentist dismissed my complaints. On my sixth attempt to try and get these crowns fixed, the dentist implied I had mental health issues. Thankfully after being told my mental health must be the reason for my crowns hurting I woke up to what was really going on and I finally realized that Moreton Dental is incompetent. The only thing I am guilty of is being foolish and naive enough to keep going back to Moreton Road over the last six weeks, thinking that they would help me. As for Moreton Dental, I want to tell you publicly, ‘I was polite, I gave you time, I reiterated, “Mistakes happen, but this needs to be dealt with as I am in a lot of pain,” time and time again and you dismissed my pain while you took my time and money with smiles all the while feeding me false promises and excuses. It would be best if you had told me that you do not have the skill to fix the badly fit crowns immediately instead of wasting my time, money, and health. You deserve every bit of this honest review, and I hope it protects other people from suffering what you have made me suffer unnecessarily.’
