"We are an independent, family-owned and run funeral directing company. Allen & Son has been established in Moreton-in-Marsh since 1928, with three generations of the Allen family having served the community.A new chapter for Allen & Son began in May 2022 when husband and wife team Diane & James Drury, who had previously been employed by the company, took ownership.It is our aim to provide the very highest standard of service and quality to the families we care for, 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year.Normal office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, however, evening and weekend appointments can be arranged, and we are available 24 hours a day at the end of the telephone for any assistance: 01608 650633"

Allen & Son made the whole process of our Mother’s death so much more manageable. Diane and James couldn’t be more professional as well as kind, thoughtful and efficient! From beginning to end, they guided us through what is the most difficult time but, handled it with such sensitivity and with love. Our recent experience Jan 23 with Diane, James and the team at Allen & Sons has been nothing short of First Class. From start to finish they have made the arrangements for our Dad’s funeral as easy as could be expected under sad circumstances. Professionalism, kindness and compassion shone through every aspect of their work. Communication was always timely and clear. They provided help and a personal service where and when required to ensure our Dad got the send off he deserved. We used Allen and Son when our Mother passed away some 9 years previous, when Peter managed the business…he has clearly left the business in safe hands! I would have no hesitation in recommending Allen and Sons to anyone faced with the difficult task of making funeral arrangements for their loved ones.
Di and James are a credit to the town. They have been so nice to myself and the whole family after my mum died. Nothing was too much, even several edits on the order of service, which would have driven other people mad. But, they were so professional from day one. But it doesn't stop when you pay the bill. The follow up after care is wonderful. It's the little things they do for you, which make all the difference post funeral . The best bit for me, is they are carrying on the legacy that Peter Allen worked so hard for in Moreton and i was so thankful for peter coming out of retirement to assist at Mum's funeral as he did for Dad, a few years ago. Thank you James, Di and the team xx
James and Di provide a first class caring service. They are so supportive and offer their truly endless guidance in the darkest of times, ensuring first and foremost that we were ok whilst we came to terms with the sudden and unexpected death of our Mum, we felt their wrap around care was exceptional from the initial contact, arranging and carrying out Mum's funeral as she would have wanted and then the on-going support afterwards makes them a first class family team who we will recommend to everyone. .
Considerate and caring with nothing that is too much trouble. Diane and James make an excellent team
During an extremely hard time for our family, Allen & Son, especially Diane, has been professional, caring and a great comfort in difficult times. I would highly recommend.
