Good and spacious shop with lots of options, I came in looking for a wedding dress. The fitting rooms are good , well lit and clean. Gave 4/5 because the sales assistant took the dress I chose off the padded hanger and didn't provide or offer to sell one or a protective bag ...
On Friday 1st December 2023 6pm I stopped by Accessorize with my 5 year old daughter to get some hair accessories before we went to see the nutcracker at the hippodrome. As we were shopping it was very crowded and when my daughter wanted to go look at something near the entrance, I noticed that the one of the store keepers started to hover very close by almost shoulder to shoulder without even saying anything, pretending to fix the items nearby. I even said to her I hope we're not in your way; she said she's restocking items but she was just touching a display case of phonycases in a circular motion with no particular aim for her hands. Once my daughter chose what she wanted I took our items to the till in the back as I was not comfortable with using the till in the front with the store keeper who stalked on me and my 5 year old When I got to the back till, we waited to be served by a young Asian woman who had just finished with a customer and had some receipts in her hand she was sorting. I waited at the counter for her to finish sorting these receipts to pay for my items; she made no comment towards me about the wait and she continued to organise her paperwork. As I'm waiting, another customer joined the queue. One of her colleagues came to support at the till and gestured to help the other customer. I said that I was next as I've been standing for way longer than expected for this young lady to finish stapling her receipts etc. The young lady at the till said that she was serving me and that her colleague should handle the next customer. But what she continued to do whilst the other customer was being served is she continued to sort her paperwork from the previous customer. I am now standing for way more than needed and I am now the last customer to be served. I was very upset at this point by how the customer service was handled in this shop as a black woman/mother and also upset by the rudeness of this staff member. She did not apologise at all for how she handled the situation. What troubles me is that she was happy for me to stand there and wait for her to do all the paperwork for the previous customer but did not want the white customer behind me to wait and allowed her to be served before me even though I was first. I don't usually write long reviews on the internet but wanted to take the time to write this mainly because I don't enjoy rudeness and discrimination during my shopping and I especially do not want my daughter to witness this. It is also my money paying towards the shop that I have always enjoyed visiting. These kinds of experience put me off going into shops and I am more and more preferring to shop online more to avoid rudeness and discrimination -- those two things should never be involved in the process of paying for a service using hard earned money. The obvious stalking from the store keeper and the rudeness and discrimination at the till have put me completely off of shopping at this shop. I now have further PTSD from shopping while black. If it wasn't for my daughter wanting to look pretty for the ballet, I would have never purchased and increased your sales. I would have left as soon as that lady started to stalk us whilst my daughter was picking out her favourite item
Really impressed with the size of the store, there's a lot of choice if you looking for special occasions outfits.
Came in today for 3 piercings I don’t remember the lady’s name. But she made me feel so comfortable as a hijabi. Bless her she put boards around me for privacy. I was really nervous about my cartilage piercing but she told me it would be fine and it really was! A big thank you to that lady today absolutely loved my piercings and of course she explained after care very well.
A sale on currently so grabbed some new bits. Lovely shop but always find queuing awkward as it's just a counter in the middle of the shop so sometimes people queue both sides. Then you're blocking things other customers want to look at.
Great selection, very friendly staff, reasonably priced too, i actually called before I went as was looking for something for little daughter for her coronation day at school, the lady on phone was very helpful an even helped my daughter pick the best one she liked. Thanks to all @ monsoon Grand Central Birmingham
This is glorious the shops well presented, no clutter and the changing room is beautiful and luxurious and the staff are the perfect combination or being helpful if needed for also giving you space to browse
I have been a long time customer of Monsoon but in the last few years the quality has really come down. This year again I bought a jumper with coller and I liked it because it is nice and warm but after wearing it within 2days all the fiber is up like it was old worn out. I paid £60 and now in the sale is £30. I will have to stop shopping at monsoon for the worst quality ever now.
Not bad. Prices are reasonable. Its really easy to walk round at the moment due to the current Coronavirus pandemic that is gripping the world right now. Staff are really helpful and polite. They don't mind helping with anything you need. Please do remember to wear a mask though, its for your safety as well as theirs
Excellent customer service by Sharni! So warm and beautiful in her mannerisms and approach! Thank you for your help. The one who bought the dresses and children hat and gloves
