Monks Cross Shopping Park

Monks Cross is a bus ride outside York City. It has a good range of shops. But John Lewis and M&S are in another area, so seems a bit cut off. Personally when I visit York I stay in the city, more interesting and more quirky shops. Perhaps its more used by people who live there. It was like any other out of town shopping centre.

I like the fact that it has covered walkways. It has a good selection of shops but is a bit dominated by women's clothing. However, it does have a Boots and Hobbycraft, which are both great stores. It has a large parking area. It also has a cycle track (though beware of dozy pedestrians lol) and you can park your bike at any of the many bike racks en route, as you go.

Great place to shop. Tourist Information Centre, toilets, baby changing facilities all in easy reach. Parking upto 4 hours free with extention on request. 5 stars.

Decent shopping centre with a good range of stores and something for everyone. Good parking and no charged. Traffic can be a nightmare though and the general road layout and markings can be very confusing if you are new to the area!

All the usual shops. What you would expect from an out of town shopping centre. Not much cover if the weather's bad.
