I visited the Meadowfresh branch at Dobbies to purchase a joint of sirloin to feed 15 people. I asked the butcher that I needed a piece for Xmas day and to ensure it would be fresh. The butcher said no problem and explained he had the perfect piece. On Xmas day I took the piece of sirloin out and noticed this awful smell and it was very obvious the meat was now off and not suitable for Xmas day! This left me with no meat to cook! I won’t be visiting this place again and wouldn’t recommend it either! I spent £45.00 on this joint which had to go straight in the bin!

A fantastic selection of meat and pies, I shop here whenever I visit Chesterfield and stock my freezer up and also buy things for friends to try

Absolutely fantastic Butchers, great selection to choose from at competitive prices. Staff are helpful friendly and efficient. We drive to Chesterfield especially to buy our meats and pastry products it's a lovely shop, always exceptionally clean and tidy and all products are well displayed. Well worth a visit, we would highly recommend Meadowfresh of Chesterfield.

Had the most delicious burgers from here. Fantastic butchers. Polite staff and they are stocked with a ridiculous variety of kebabs. You will be spoilt for choice.

We went to collect our meat pack for Xmas today, we had originally ordered a normal pack as usual. I was diagnosed Coeliac Disease 13 weeks ago. When we entered the shop we asked for a gluten free pack and the member of staff was just amazing. He spoke to us about gluten intolerance and how the shop work to assist those who struggle with it. Made me feel safe but also not an inconvenience which is how  I usually feel. Thank you for your understanding and a Merry Xmas to you all xx

First time I 've bought sirloin beef from here  I've only just moved to Chesterfield. Wow! Like my beef rare. Cooked beautifully, and so easy to carve. Taste lovely. Will definitely buy from there again

Love this place, came all the way from Nottingham lol. The salt and pepper chicken kebabs were wonderful, best supper for ages . I wish there was a meadow fresh nearer , sometimes go to arrow farm or dobbies

This has to be the best butchers in Chesterfield and that I have ever come across ! What a fantastic range of meats & pies. The BBQ range is huge and can all be bought individually if required. Fresh fish counter and a great deli range. The staff are friendly, helpful, polite and knowledgeable. A pleasure to shop here.

Absolutely perfect pies, sausages and bacon every time we visit.  The team are so friendly and helpful each time we buy from Meadowfresh in Chesterfield, it's always a pleasure to call in.  I would recommend their steak and Stilton pies - yum!

Always great service and friendly staff. Food is lovely, go there every year for the turkeys, sausage meat and gammon. Highly recommend
