Peace and tranquility. Set in beautiful grounds, this is a beautiful Sangha of lovely souls. Great fun, beautiful accomodation and the perfect place for a period of rest and reflection. I hope to come back 🙏

Madhyamaka is an incredible place to do retreat or to visit. It has such a relaxed and peaceful environment. I didn't want to leave!

I have stayed here for a retreat on the book, 'Transform your life' and was blown away by the beautiful surroundings. The retreat was reasonably priced with four sessions a day, the opportunity to do one puja a day also, and three lovely vegetarian meals. I stayed in the female dorm which had good facilities. The breaks gave you the opportunity to go for walks in the grounds. There is a lovely walk around the lake and woodland walks. Overall, it was a great experience, with really nice meditation sessions and relaxing meditation breaks.

This is a lovely Buddhist centre run by kind and consideration people. It provides an opportunity to study Buddhism in a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and the food excellent. The people could not have been more helpful. The grounds provide a place in which to take long walks or just sit and relax. Thank you

I came here for a week-long group retreat. Arriving at the last minute, I was worn out and not in the best state of mind. The people here have been really kind, and I feel restored. This is an active Buddhist center in a grand building out in the countryside with big flocks of sheep just outside the fence. Locals come by all the time with their family or dogs, just to enjoy the peaceful environment. There is a small World Peace Cafe with paninis, coffee, cakes and such. There's even "Dog Friendly Lodge" which has kids' playpen, etc. I am Buddhist, so for me the highlight is their main meditation room, with beautiful statues and artwork. Some other reviewers didn't like prayers, but it's a Buddhist center. Every faith sings prayers. The food they serve on the retreat has been uniformly delicious (vegetarian). A simple breakfast with cereal and toast, juice, a variety of milks, boiled eggs. Lunch and dinner are served, and there seem to always be enough for seconds.
