Ordered a takeaway from here for 8.15pm last night. It arrived at 7.20pm as I was leaving the house. I said I ordered it for an hour later and the delivery guy said he would take it back and prepare a fresh order. It arrived at 8.15pm - clearly it was not a fresh order. It was lukewarm and the bread I had ordered was stale & freezing. This is the second time I have ordered takeaway from this place and both times the food was lukewarm and the bread cold, hard & inedible. I would not recommend this place for a takeaway despite the tempting 20% off offer which I fell for both times. Pay the extra elsewhere and hopefully get hot decent food.
Food was ok but nowhere near spicy enough - jalfrezi was literally as mild as a korma. Balti was decent enough and good portion size. Poppadums were good and great range of pickles too. Friend of mine was convinced he didn't get what he ordered and that it pretty much tasted of nothing. Rice came out five minutes after the rest of the food. Staff were largely unfriendly and also quite unhelpful which given my party of five spent £220 on a Tuesday night is a shame. Used to come here some years ago and loved it - thought it was worth trying again however given this experience and the large choice of Indian restaurants in Twickenham, it's unlikely I'll be back.
Top marks for food! Staff, on the other hand, are always miserable and contribute to what's sometimes a heavy atmosphere with the very dim lighting. Also being folded over your stomach whilst eating in a sunken chair is less than fun.
I love this place with the massive menus etc and tasty food. But after ordering a takeaway and having it turn up after 1 and 1/2 hours, missing an item has really put things down a bit. naan, rice was warm/cold too.
Food was fresh and tasted decent but mixed grill was tiny for £15 without all the ingredients listed in the menu. Don't think this place is good value for money.
I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times a week for the last 3 years. Great food and great staff which is why I keep coming back. Enough said I think! Thank you!
Our first ever visit here as a Mother and Daughter and I was so shocked by the patronising way we were spoken to by the waiter after just sitting for a few minutes...I completely lost my appetite...We only stayed as my daughter was hungry after a long day at school...What was so shocking was when two male clients entered they were treated so differently even my impressionable twelve year old daughter was confused...It just shows one that looks can be very deceiving...My advice to the proprietors is to look at the way male staff speak to female clients...We seriously entered this establishment with a open mind but was sadly let down...
The ghost and balti saag dishes are my favourites. Generally, the food is nice here and the service is okay
Went here after the Rugby on Saturday.... Good food, good service. All very nice:
Food here is great.. friendly staff and they deliver the same great standard food as they serve in restaurant..
