This practice is appalling. Despite how urgent your request is, you cannot get a ‘clinician’ to call you back in any less than a week, if at all. They avoid having to see patients. I know I have a bad chest infection and need antibiotics, it’s a simple request, but 3 weeks later I cannot talk to anyone. I need someone to listen to my chest but it’s impossible. Meanwhile I have barely slept for 3 weeks due to excess coughing. I feel like reporting them. I am definitely changing practices as soon as I am well enough.
I have been with the Minden practice since February 1999 and recently I have phoned in to see a doctor on on the past 2 occasions in the past 2 months. The 1st time in was in October 2022 and I finally got a call back from a doctor 24 hours later. During this time I had had to call out the on call doctor to see me. The 2nd time in November 2022, I never even got a phone call back to find out why or an appointment. I cannot use ask my GP and I will not, because I feel there is no way the doctor can do a proper diagnoses over a video link. Since the Minden joined the Tower Practice group it has been rapidly going downhill. The receptionists are trying their best, but are being let down by the doctors.
This doctors surgery is an abomination. You can't get an appt with a doctor if you ring up and Ask My GP is even worse. Have been waiting for 2 weeks now for a "clinician" to reply to my medical request. All I get when I chase it up is, You are on the list and 2 weeks is the norm. Do you have to be dying to see a doctor these days!!!!! NOT HAPPY.
I’ve never known such a mish-mash by doctors. If your lucky enough to receive a call back from one the chances are they haven’t even read their notes. It’s actually humiliating & It’s hard to bite your lip. In fairness the staff in the depths of the place are pretty fab but sadly the girls on the desk seem to cover the shambles of the doctors. You’d do far better to find a competent doctor elsewhere, they really are very poor
Every 2 months I use the ask my GP service and I never can get on. It states 8 - 11 but it never is. Resulting into me phoning up to be seen to, which will be answered by a member of staff who is always abrupt and rude. Makes me nervous every time I ring up so I choose not too even as a last resort. The staff need a attitude check and the GP service needs to be sorted. I dread it every 2 months
I have been waiting for a sick note for nearly 2 weeks. All I got from one of the receptionist was screen shot my request and show it to my employer of proof. The next thing she said was it's all Rishi Sunaks fault. So Priminister if you read this can you write me one out please it will be quicker than Minden. I would give the practice zero points but you have to click on something to start.
First time attending today, the doctor was wonderful and very attentive to my baby, sat and spoke to her constantly and quickly diagnosed the issue, couldn't fault.
Felt really ill phoned doctor, after going through the fiasco of first phoning Tottington, listening to umpteen messages. It was Friday afternoon, told no appointments, asked what could I do, I felt really ill, told ring 111 tried that first. Gave up after waiting 30mins for the phone to be answered use askmygp, also tried that it, was closed,told if I felt it was urgent go to casualty, eventually the pharmacy helped, now I ask my pharmacy for help first, conclusion don't be ill after 11am
I would like to put zero star, I have never seen employees in this way lazy and uncooperative at all. I asked for a simple document in any center in the world to be issued within minutes. Now I have days and they are extremely indifferent
sent a request in that was quite urgent, got a message back saying it was marked as urgent and got no message back at all, struggled previously with this and so has all my family and friends. sick to death of having to fight for an appointment or diagnosis when i’m struggling.
