A very cozy and little bakery / cake shop to fulfil your cake / chocolate cravings. Not very far from the Waverly station. I would stay in 20 minutes distance. Respectful & kind staff. I wish the Bakehouse was little bit bigger. But, its very authentic and genuine. I hope you will love your cake & coffee experience :) I recommend this place. Thanks.

A nice spot for some cake and a hot drink. There isn't much space inside (tables and chairs for 8 people) but the cakes on offer are very nice. The Scottish Rocky Road and Blonde Rocky road were delicious and the hot chocolate is very nice also. The prices are quite reasonable (slightly higher if you're eating in the cafe) and the staff are friendly.

This is a great little bakery on the main drag from the castle in Edinburgh. Its quite small, but has a large range of sandwich options and Cakes. It says on the front door that it is award winning bakery and the cakes inside prove it, they are beautiful looking and taste amazing. I'd highly recommend a stop here if you are visiting the city.

Stovie/stew was really tasty - 5 stars! We had a cake and cappuccino too. The cake was good but the cappuccino just disappointing. We all didn't finish it. The machine, beans and roast might be fine but the milk was boiling hot, no foam at all. Staff wasn't friendly as well. Recommendation if you take away or prefer tea.

Polite service, nice coffee....though the ‘dairy free’ vegan brownie we ordered tasted a little old and must of had dairy in it for my friend to get a reaction, be careful if you have a severe allergy when ordering from here
