I come here on a regular basis to do artwork/studying and it is pretty decent and I borrow books from here also and that's very efficient and also there is lots of seating if it is quiet and it's rather big, I rarely have issues finding somewhere to sit even with all the kids studying or they are off school, I still manage to find a seat.nnThe only thing I don't like about it though is the pure fact that there is now only one toilet available due to the other one being shut to the public but open to families with babies and small children and the toilet that is available to customers/members you end up queuing for hours! And then the next time I go here it is closed completely and you have to walk to the city centre just to use the toilet and that's ridiculous! So I think there should be more toilets for members of the public and customers.
Milton Keynes Centre Library is not just a place; it's my sanctuary, my haven of calm and positive energy. Stepping inside, there's an indescribable goodness that envelops the high-ceilinged space, where quiet yet happy and contented people coexist. For me, it's more than a library – it's my most important and one of my favorite places.nnThe exceptional staff, particularly the ladies, exude a genuine eagerness to assist, creating an atmosphere that caters to both casual readers and dedicated book lovers. The library boasts a commendable collection of books, ranging from captivating novels to insightful science-based reads and an impressive array of non-fiction titles. The serene ambiance is enhanced by a charming coffee area, perfect for indulging in both literature and a delightful sip.nnThe kids' library is a true gem, offering an extensive collection spanning autobiographies, novels, science books, non-fiction gems, magazines, and comics. The addition of Saturday free sessions and a Lego club for kids further elevates the library experience, making it a must-recommendable destination for families seeking both education and entertainment.nnBeyond books, the library hosts a wonderful gallery and exhibition hall with amazing art displays, showcasing a commitment to diverse cultural programs. As a member, I appreciate the free membership, and the flexibility to borrow up to ten books for a generous period of 4-5 weeks – a book lover's dream come true.nnMilton Keynes Library is a place of knowledge, insight, and information, where learning, leisure, and connection seamlessly converge. I find myself drawn to it again and again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to friends, family, students, young toddlers, college-goers, business enthusiasts, and individuals seeking a haven of knowledge and inspiration. It's not just a library; it's a cultural gem that enriches lives in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Great place to borrow books. The place on the first floor is also very well equipped for those who would like to read and study there. Open everyday except on Sunday.
Very accessible and functional. With a vast collection of digital books and also activities for children and young readers.nnThe tons of events suited to different age groups makes it unique.
