For people looking for a quiet place to study, I would definitely not recommend this library. It's quite a small, open library and the children's area is very very noisy. There is a private room to rent for £15 an hour (!) however it doesn't look sound-proofed. They are trialling extended opening hours which is great. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the kids seem to have a great time - so for parents this would be a good library. I would recommend students use the Open Uni library instead.

Very disappointed . No pc ,no printer. Children running everywhere. Not really quiet place to study. Was hoping for more. Star for staff

great facility, good staffing, clear colourful layout exactly as described in the focus groups. Children love it, be nice if more stock for them. Good turnover of new books for adults Wifi works well and good to see meeting room being used. be nice to have some coffee shop but as nearest just next door no big issue.

BIG PLANS - small delivery. The glossy, beautifully printed plans we were all shown included PCs for people without such facilities to use. In addition, would be the ability to connect one's own device via WIFI to gain internet access. What have we got? WIFI for the few and no PCs. Of course, even for the few, there is no printer access so another basic service is denied. Apparently, they could not even be bothered to move the old PC and printer and install them. Or maybe all the money went into glossy plans and a 'learning centre'. (So schools, etc. are redundant now are they?). Libraries for years have included PCs, internet & printer access for people who are otherwise unable to access them. Not in this brave new world! In fact, the old, cramped, virtually single room Kingston library had better facilities in this respect. I shall have to continue traveling to Bletchley.

Nice place, but kids everywhere, hard to concentrate due to the constant noise of many children.
