Went for the Jane Austin event today, sadly this was cancelled however the Christmas quiz led by Karen was a treat. Four of us ladies in hysterics as we tried & failed to answer the questions but we had a great laugh and look forward to the next Good Afternoon event in January. Thank you to Karen and the staff, especially for the hot drinks and mince pies. Sally
Fabtastic educational, interesting, and fun for kids and adults alike. Friendly, helpful staff - we're really lucky to have this library on our doorstep
So much to offer for everyone. Excellent child activities on offer each week as well as summer holidays and a cosy reading area with reading teddies for the children to read with! The staff were so friendly, I was worried that my child was being too noisy but the lady on the desk got out a bubble blowing machine and the kids had so much fun popping all the bubbles! Adult sessions and activities on offer too. Very impressed
A good selection of books, however. If looking to come for a quiet read, or a space to study in a quiet area, I'd avoid like the plague. It can seem that this is more like a day care centre than a place of quiet.
Great Library - loads of books and a good teen section. Friendly and helpful staff and lots of events for all age groups.
It's great that the libraries are open again! Very well organised.
