I do like this station. You get central, district, and H&C lines running through here, so there are many places you can go to. I do like the mint green colouring along the sides of the pillars which maybe match the district line colour, and the red at the top for the central line. No H&C reference though. What I found really convenient was that I only had to walk a few steps across the central line platforms to get to the district/H&C platform, super easy interchange!
Great station, short distance from entrance to platforms, has multiple lines running here regularly - H&C, District, Circle, and Central
I would like to personally thank the two ladies who helped me this morning when i wasn’t feeling well, they was wonderful and they helped me so quickly and wasted no time! Thank you so much hailey and unfortunately I can’t remember the other ladies name but we had a good chat and she really helped me so thank you so much!
Bad experience, some trains especially district line do not show info on front/side of train also no announcements inside train from driver , sometimes station information boards show wrong info , really hard to find out where it’s going, final destination… it’s been going like this for a while. There is also only 3 information boards along the platform which is not enough as its hard to find them , all round the columns. Im sure this could be better managed. As sometimes u jump in and u end up wrong way , thank u MilEnd
Great Mile End Station: A Convenient Hub Connecting East London. Mile End Station serves as a dynamic gateway to East London, offering convenience, accessibility, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Whether you're commuting to work, exploring the local area, or traveling further afield, Mile End provides a reliable and efficient transportation hub. Its strategic location, combined with excellent facilities and services, makes it an essential part of London's public transport network.
The best underground station in London for me and us who live or used to live near by. This is the main station for Queen Mary's students and access to Victoria park. The station is old and don't have lift but still this is the best station for us. Here you can get Central line, district line, Hammersmith and city line. I think they should modarate the station nd make it nice and accessible for disable or elderly person.
To tfl bosses: how on earth does it make sense to have one train arriving and another leaving just a second later so people don't have a chance to change. It is just 2 seconds to allow people change by walking across. Does the 2 seconds of driver's waiting make such a difference? Especially if the next train is in 7 minutes or more, you just make people waiting for no reason. Don't tell me that those 2 seconds of driver's extra waiting will delay the service. You guys are all one big mental delay so 2 seconds is fine.
Woah, woah, woah... before anyone starts saying how brilliant this place is: Can I remind everyone this is A SAFETY RISK BECAUSE OF AMOUNTS OF HEADROOM. The other problems are the stairs at this place. Where is the step free access for disabled people? Where is this place supposed to be if it has not got a single amount of room to move about?? Will it be out on the street? What also happens is that there is not a place for people to wait on the platform if they want a H&C line connection with the Central Line. H&C is Hammersmith & City Line And the Central Line announcements for this place now are awful. Between 2005 and 2019 were awesome but now it is awful. However, it has good train service, and trains for the central line and district line arrive at good timings. No problems with it.
This place is great We went to a journey it was long but man this was the best part
convientent interchange however the central line seems to be going slow between liverpool street and stratford took about 10 mins to get from stratford decent station nevertheless
