A great visit to Grayson Perry's Art Club exhibition. Well located, easy access with friendly staff. Great Coffee!! A fantastic art resource. Well worth a visit. The exhibition was well curated. Some items very moving and thought provoking, showing the wide range of British cultural talent.
Modern facilities but soulless. The outside is an ugly mixture of unkempt functional architecture and brash, upbeat marketing decorations. Both the front and back entrance are not welcoming spaces, the latter from the car parks being quite narrow. The meeting rooms & suites, bar area and cafés look and feel up to date with everywhere looking smart and clean. A little too much so as the entire place lacks character or atmosphere leading to a sterile feeling. Display areas, even for the same exhibition, can spread out and one is in the small café making it awkward to see. Small corridors are also used not allowing the viewer to stand back from the display. The gift shop is stupidly expensive easily beating some London museums in pricing. The goods and books seem aimed at serious arty types and, although I'm one, I still wouldn't pay £7 for a fridge magnet. Parking can be a nightmare if there's more than one event on and impossible if there's a match at neighbouring Edgbaston Cricket ground. Be aware that the parking area is split into two so make sure you pay at the right pay station for where you've left your car. RingGo app works works well here though.
Great place helps it was sunny. There for a training day and we're very adequately taken care of but looks like a great place to go for art. Lovely park.
An arts space that feels welcoming and fresh! Set on the back of Cannon Hill Park it hosts an array of local and international artists, in its various gallery spaces. It also hosts live performances such as plays, and screenings of films. The main gallery upstairs is simply amazing. It has a gift shop, a bar and a restaurant. Even without visiting the various exhibitions it is a place you can simply meet up with friends for lunch or a drink. Would definitely recommend. Ps it is also outside the clean air zone!
Excellent place. Great cinema space. Exhibitions. Good cafes. Nice shop.
Lovely day spent at the mac centre, saw Grayson's Art Club exhibition. Big spacious area to enjoy art, gift shop and two cafe areas. The mac centre sits in the Cannon Hill Park, you can get access from the mac centre into the green park area.
Great venue. Visited for the first time from the south west. Great exhibition space, lovely intimate cinema, friendly, welcoming, interesting and accessible venue- also easy parking! Very impressed
Wide range of things to do here, exhibits, cinema, walks and there’s a cafe. Very pleasant place
Visited for the 1st time today and impressed with the venue. Met up with friends for work assignment and stopped for late lunch in the cafe. Look forward to going back there.
