Birmingham Coach Station in Digbeth is a central and convenient hub for long-distance bus travel, offering a range of facilities such as comfortable seating, restrooms, and a café. It is well-maintained and serves as a key interchange for national and international routes. However, it can get crowded during peak times, leading to long waits, and has limited parking. Additionally, the Wi-Fi quality can be inconsistent. Overall, it is a functional and accessible station, though improvements in crowd management and amenities would enhance the travel experience.
Busy place, used national express to London Victoria and had a 25mins stop in this station, very cool place, and nice environment too, most of their busses comes in here for drop off and pick ups and there are some nice places around the station too.
Had to paid 30p to go to the toilet, you would expect a decent toilet, not a chance, and the cleaner getting in the toilet screaming 'anyone in there? Hurry up I wanna go home', horrible experience, especially if you're coming from London and had to travel 2 more hours to Liverpool. I don't get the point of paying for the toilet, if within 30 seconds you got in, you get rushed out rudely. Hoping I won't need this coach station for a long time.
On the 28/08/24 My elderly mother was travelling from Oxford to Chester Late evening/early morning, using National Express. Unfortunately, we didn’t realise the bus stopped at Birmingham and the passengers had to get off for approximately 30/40 minutes Around 3 am in the morning. Whilst off the bus at this time my mother fell asleep on the platform and the National express bus with her luggage proceeded to travel to Chester without her. When my mother realised this, she was very distraught and upset. I am writing this review because whoever was on Customer services at the station Was able to calm her down, Charge her phone and help her contact us to help her get a taxi And put her in the right direction. Whoever you are, we are very grateful thank you.
My experience for the first time using this station wasn't too good.nnThe bus delayed and we were only told that the bus had a delay and would be with us shortly. So we waited.nnHad to take this video of two birds fighting over who's got the biggest share of bread thrown to them while we waited.nnApart from the delay, the bus was neat and the customer service we experienced was okay. So three star does it for me.
