Loved the fact they have a vegan option banana blossom and also they cater gluten free so definitely hands up! The batter was heavy tho and I felt heavy the whole day after this meal. It was my first time eating banana blossom and it looked like kitchen and the taste reminded me artichokes, very interesting! It’s a busy place and they do lovely take away boxes for you to enjoy your meal at the beach if you like as they have only 4 tables.
Fantastic place, definitely recommend to anyone visiting Margate. Steve who served us was a lovely guy and recommended the vegan battered sausage which my partner chose and of course it was super tasty - great recommendation from Steve. I got the prawn Marie rose loaded fries and they were equally delicious. We also got the battered pickles and a free bag of scraps, which again were great.
Great choices with standard fish and chips and more unusual dishes too. Gluten free and vegan options. No seating inside but some tables outside. Easy ordering system via touchpad screens. Great service!
Particularly good fish and chips. I had the haddock which was thick, flaky and very tender. Gluten free options available. Dietary restrictions: Cater for coeliacs.
Been eagerly awaiting beach buoys however it didn't live up to expectations. The fish was very tasty however the chips were a bit dry/ too potatoey and the service inside was a bit meh. The screens inside gave me McDonalds vibes but, lets be honest its an expensive chippy and I at least expect service at a til and ask how much vinegar i want on my order. I won't order from here again unless peters queue is too big but it hasn't put me off buoy and oyster as the quality of the fish was great.
Had vegan battered sausage and chips. The batter was gorgeous, crisp bad flavourful. Chips were soft and fresh. I come here every time I visit Margate.
Great place! Delicious food and really friendly service! Ordered online, collected on my allocated time, server was really helpful and made sure everything was correct and secure in my take away order. Love the vegan banana blossom! 3rd time having it and its always delicious! Rest of our party enjoyed their fish! Look forward to returning again
This is the best chicken katsu I have ever eaten. WOW! Stop reading the reviews and go and order one. The sauce is delicious, the perfect consistency with a hint of spice. We also had a battered sausage which should be awarded the king of all battered sausages ever.
The chips were some of the best chip shop chips I’ve ever had. The prawns could have been cooked a little more consistently and I’ve had the squid better here before but still tasty. I love the chilli sauce they use.
Gorgeous, lovely fresh fish and chips. Definitely recommend the crab fries! Brilliant menu with good vegan options - lots to try out. Very friendly people and a cool location. Thank you for a perfect Boxing Day lunch : x
