Working for DerbysCC I get to work in many of the City's libraries, today was the first chance I'd had since pre-pandemic to work in Mickleover Library. This library has always been one of my favourites and happy to find it safe, clean and unchanged. I'd managed to 'file' my DCC Library Card away two years ago, and had no idea where I'd put it, Colin a brilliant librarian had to issue me with a duplicate at a cost of £3.20 no cash accepted at DCC libraries at the moment. A great, and quiet library for working in. Can't be faulted !
Our favourite place in Mickleover. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge range of books both fact and fiction. A great asset to the village. Roger and Mavis Matkin.
Quite quiet, they do have good books but there isnt a specific sorting shelves. Yes there is shelves labled non-fiction, fiction, romance and crime but thats quite all of the genres ive seen around the small library. It also dosent seem really populated with books. I'm not saying its a bad small library i do love the books and the staff seem kind with my quiet and unsociable attitude. Overall if i did not have to study i would go there everyday.
Nice but small library just behind the Mickleover community centre. Very helpful staff. Closed Mondays, Wednesdays and sundays. Often have older books on sale. Audio books too. Free car park just 30 seconds WALK!
Lovely staff but poor selection of books.....loads and loads of family sagas but very poor selection of Ruth Rendell and John Connelly.
Open for browsing. Very kind and helpful staff. So nice to be back in a library
Large clean and friendly library with free parking and bus route close by
Modern library, with a good range of books. Not as quiet as the library in the city centre.
Providing a brilliant Covid service which has been a godsend for my husband.
Very good library despite lock down
