Story

Mickey Oates motorcycles opened for business in 1961. The business was purchased by our Dad Jim Ferguson in 1982 and it is still a family owned business today.


At present we hold franchises for Suzuki road bikes,Kawasaki & Honda off road bikes, Quadzilla kids quads, Oset kids bikes & most recently Montesa trials bikes.
Over the years the accessory side of our business has grown rapidly and as a result our selection is extensive. We stock everything you may require for Road, Motocross and now Trials – The fastest growing sport at present.

At Mickey Oates we believe motorcycling is a people thing, where a relationship is established between dealer and customer and we aim to provide the right mix of friendliness and professionalism to continue to achieve this for many years to come.

We can be seen most Sundays during the race season at many events.

Our aim has never changed over the years, to offer you the customer the best deal without compromising on service

Avoid this motorcycle shop, Cowboys, charged over £250 for a chain and sprocket, i googled online i got a Gold chain and sprocket for £150

Shocking behaviour from Gordon the owner of the store he refused too take a klx 110 that was bumpy when you pushed there was 100% something wrong with the bike and he refused too take it as it was getting fixed under warranty such ashame on the wee man can't even get his bike fixed really not happy and would not recommend anyone going here as he just has a horrible attitude not interested in carrying out any work inless money is going into his pocket personally.
Great family run business. Have had nothing but great service and good advice from the team - before and after I purchased a new bike from them. I was genuinely very surprised to read some of the more negative and somewhat personal reviews on here, as they are definitely a very different account on my own experience. Thumbs up and 5 stars for the Mickey Oates Crew!
I had some brake issues with my old Honda and came here for service. Everyone was super friendly, the mechanics diagnosis and work was excellent and fast. The pricing was absolutely fair. 5/5 highly recommendable !
Excellent service from start to finish by the whole team. My bike was collected, serviced & MOT'd and returned to me as requested. I was kept up to date throughout the day and was left with no doubt that my bike was being cared for by professionals. A great experience and I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again for everything!
Really helpful. They didn't have what I wanted in stock on the day, but could not have been nicer. The chap wrote down other bike shops to help me out. I'd definitely recommend them and will go back in future.
Seem like nice staff but way over expensive for tyres. I didn't check anything else but will not be back due to the steep pricing. Compared with other Suzuki dealers. They are just over priced.
