Fantastic Menu, with plenty of options to choose from, for all types of diets. The staff are all really friendly. The views are stunning whether you sit in or outside. They also have cute little sheds that you can choose to sit in if you fancy a bit of privacy. There are signs up to say please excuse the appearance of the loos but I quite liked them. They were nice and clean, no spiders! and I liked the open air hand washing. Vegetarian options: The breakfast has options for meat eaters, vegetarians and Vegans. Parking: Plenty of parking.
The breakfasts were really good at Merkins cafe & the staff were excellent. Very nice place they appear to have plenty of room inside. They have outside, 3 or 4 sheds with table and chairs which customers were using there was also a shepherds hut. So all in all a very nice location to have a breakfast. Apparently it is also a campsite during the summer, or so I'm informed. Kid-friendliness: Yes, there were plenty of children and toddlers. Parking: Quite a good sized car park.
Lovely setting. Staff were very helpful and courteous. 4 Breakfasts ordered. 2 Full English 2 Full Merkins. Both the same price. However with the full English there was a lot more for your money than with Full Merkins. Felt a little hard done by. Americano black coffee not strong enough. Wife had to ask for an extra shot on both occasions. Not the best coffee. Overall the breakfasts were good, however if charging the same amount for different dishes, you would expect to get similar sized plates of food. Spicy sausage on Full Merkin dish, was disappointing. Small half sized sausage, split in half.
They're really good at what they do, so if you want a good cooked breakfast or coffee and cake, it's great. If you're looking for a wider lunch menu, you might struggle for choice. Service is always friendly and efficient.Food: 4/5
I had an excellent brunch experience today at Merkins. Customer service in action at it's best by Hayley. Having dealt very politely and professionally with a very rude customer who pushed in front of me, I then received 5 star treatment for the rest of my visit! Highly recommended
Never fails to disappoint! Always very busy so best to get there early if you want breakfast. Not always seats inside but plenty of seating out just wrap up warm in the colder months! Always a friendly service. Best breakfast place nearest to Chippenham
Lovely food and such friendly staff. We had 2 highchairs and loads of space. Dogs are welcome. Gets very busy but worth it for their all day breakfasts!Food: 5/5
Haven't been here for some time. All very new and welcoming. Food was, as always great tasting and plentiful. Great value for money and must be one of the greatest views towards Salisbury Plain.Food: 5/5
