Rented a car from here to attend a funeral and was happy with the service. When I arrived to collect a pre booked car over the phone they didn't have the automatic in stock so they found me an alternative straight away. The car was brilliant, no issues at all mechanically. The damage checks where great and any damage was listed. The only issue I had was the car had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. Drop off was great. I was in and out again within a few minutes. I got my deposit back in quick time which was nice. Overall I would happily use them again.
Van did the job required. Hired and returned on the same day. Although fairly new the van was damaged in places from previous hirers but this was all documented at hand-over. Rental was cheaper than Enterprise who I have used before but Mercury does not offer any excess waiver protection and so you have to be careful at all times to avoid paying the high excess. On balance, I will probably return to using Enterprise in the future as their vans are pristine and damage-free and they offer all of the waiver and breakdown protection I need - even if they do cost more money. Took about a week for the deposit to be returned/cancelled - the amount shows on bank statement as pending for around 5 days post-hire before it is cancelled.
Provided me with a Van at short notice, cheapest in Burton on Trent. I have read another review saying they are cheaper than Enterprise but Enterprises van are newer who cares a van is van and I want to save money. I would rather use a local company which contributes to the local community than an American company.

I had a van only 24hrs, but definitely I'll use Mercury again. Customer service so nice, Van clean and comfy. All paper work done in 2 minutes. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended! My family and I have been renting from this company for many years. We have always have had a first class service and the staff have always been very friendly and courteous. We have hired cars, a minibus and vans. And will be renting again very soon. Keep up the good work a great team.
Thank you so much Mercury. I needed a hire car at short notice, I had never hired a car before. The staff were so helpful and ensured I got a vehicle suitable for my journey. They made the whole process easy and provided a great service. I recently moved house and rented a van from them, as usual the service was amazing and unlike a lot of companies they are great value. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Definitely the best car hire / van hire company in Burton, I highly recommend them to anyone!
Excellent service from the team. I always get my vans and other vehicles from here and there have never been any issues. The staff are very polite, the vehicles are in excellent condition and great value for money so happy days. I would absolutely recommend.
