The food and service was absolutely perfect. Such a lovely place to eat. Not one to visit if you are in a wheelchair and are unable to walk without it as there is no disabled toilet but the staff can open an upstairs door which you have to go outside and up a ramp to access

The food was tasty but took too long to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty. But it was well cooked and fresh. The menu has plenty of choice, local meat and fish dishes, vegan options and a nice selection of beers. The space is like an old cellar, quite atmospheric. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it.
Historic pub in heart of Lancaster built into the hill and used to be a wine cellar. Due to CV19 we ate outside on one of the tables there's about 10. Good beer and food and all staff were wearing masks or visors. Worth a visit just for the history.
Birthday treat for my brother and it was a real success. An 8oz fillet, peppercorn sauce and the "best cooked chips" he'd had in ages! We were well looked after by the staff and will definitely be returning.
Very impressed with the quality of the food. We had a fish meal each which was nice. Lots of flavour and not your average food, it was more restaurant standard. I highly recommend eating here. Staff are also very helpful.
This is my favourite pub to eat at in Lancaster. I bring family and friends here. The staff are lovely and it feels great to be there. On top of that, the food, the fricking food is amazing. You get what you paid for!
