"Menai Cruises is a family run business running pleasure cruise trips from Caernarfon Harbour down the famous Menai Strait. Emrys is the 6th generation of ships Pilots in our family and customers tell us daily how much they enjoy his knowledgeable commentary whilst on board the Queen of the Sea. We run 45 minute trips daily and 2hr specials when the weather and tides allow. The Queen of the Sea is also available for private hire."

Took my daughters on the cruise today, completely unplanned and they absolutely loved it! The staff were really friendly, boat was really clean and clearly well kept/maintained. The views are brilliant and it's great to see the area from a completely diffrent perspective. Highly recommended and can not wait to re visit in the near future. Thanks Alot for a great experience
Was walking around the bay an seen the cruise about to leave, me and my partner said we would catch the next one but the very kind lady at the hut over heard us an said we could jump on straight away an pay on our way back, we was very lucky to get on last second! I am so glad we did as we had the rare privilage of seeing Dolphins in the Menai Strait! It was such a special experience for us. The cruise and crew were fantastic an made our time spent on board lovely even without seeing the Dolphins, highly reccomended. I hope you get to see the Dolphins like we did
Visited on 4.10.23 What a fantastic and unexpected find this was. Having planned our day trip to Caernarfon, we hadn't seen anything on Trip Advisor about this boat tour but as soon as we saw the signs for it, we couldn't not go on!! It was our 2year old daughter's first time on a sea boat and she loved it, as did we. Very accommodating with allowing us to bring the pram on board and a very lovely, heart warming touch by offering us blankets should we have got too cold whilst on the tour. The boats captain was very knowledgeable about the history of points of interest and provided a lovely commentary. 100% would recommend this boat tour to anyone, we certainly will be back for another trip whenever we are next in Caernarfon!!
Very well ran cruise, very welcoming. The captain kept us well informed on all the points of interest. Little shop on board for refreshments. Wear something warm as it obviously gets windy on the boat. Dogs are welcome too.
Beautiful trip to Llandwydd Island, tide right, weather right, superb views and rocks full of cormorants and a shy seal. Very helpful crew, great afternoon
An enjoyable cruise on the Menai Straits with friendly crew and informative commentary from the Captain. Would recommend.
We took the 3pm cruise. Booked our seats via text message and paid cash on arrival. Our cruise was very quiet. The pilot gave us quite a lot of information throughout, unfortunately due to the low cloud we couldn’t see the mountains or Snowdon. Not that exciting for young children as our five your old told us.
We enjoyed the 1:30pm sailing from Caernarfon on the 45 minute route of the Menai Strait. A journey which was sufficient enough for my first time sailing other half. The boat wasn’t overcrowded and seemed to allow enough room between you and the other users. The views of the Llŷn Peninsula were wonderful. We were a little let down by the good old unpredictable Welsh weather. We didn’t manage to see Snowdon from the water but that didn’t dampen the trip!
What a lovely experience we had today. We shared our Menai Straits cruise with the Dolphins . There was a commentary on board of the local area of the Lyn peninsula and a display from the local Dolphin community. Highly recommended.
Nice cruise company. Please note only cash accepted. Kiosk where tickets are sold is very inconspicuous wooden building 1x2 meter so look carefully for it. It's located between carpark and the marina next to where ships are. Remember to bring spare coat on board as it might be cold at sea. Remember not to sit next to speakers as it is to loud when capitan talks facts about the area. Our cruise taken 45minutes. 3adult and 2children was £40.
