Great place to visit with lots to do

Not great. It is old and not especially well maintained. The beds were not comfortable, the room was so damp the wallpaper was falling off and the parking is available but very limited.

It's nothing special for the price, you are literally paying for the location. The decor is old and run down, the facilities are basic the floor boards have seen better days! We have lot of damp in our room, meaning the wall paper was pealing. We were woken both mornings by banging pipes (assume it was the hot water pipes) and the creaking floor boards above us

We had a chance to have a 2 days away in 6 years; reviews encouraged us to book this hotel.. I believe it's reviews that are positive on Tripadvisor are not genuine. Poor breakfast, there were just fruits and raisens in containers. We told the guy that its not breakfast, these are fruits... The staff/manager started being stubborn and said that it was the best breakfast, showed expressions like we didn't know what breakfast is. Keep in mind that we had travelled a lot in the past, in the UK, EU, Middle East and South Asia... We had experienced many cultures and live in UK, meaning we know what to expect from a hotel especially that are located in Modern countries. Website states there'sfree WiFi but in fact it's a paid one, you have to buy voucher. The rest of the hotel was vacant, we were the only guests. We requested if we could change the room we were staying in as the hotel was vacant anyway, the manager refused straight away... Our advice, for £60 a night you can stay at many other hotels in the vicinity... Don't waste your money... We're very disappointed
