Melanie made our wedding cake for our big day and she was absolutely amazing to work with!  Her communication leading up to our wedding was professional and friendly and the cake itself was exceptional!  We actually had someone ask us if the cake was fake, that’s how perfect it looked!  Melanie is very sweet and was extremely accommodating with our requests.  The cake and icing tasted amazing together and the added florals made the most perfect finishing touch!  I highly recommend Melanie for all of your baking needs, her cakes and cookies are delicious! :

We hired Melanie to make a cake and cupcakes for our wedding and they were delicious!! She was so easy to work with and she was available to answer any questions we had during the planning process. So many of our guests comments on how good the cupcakes were! If you are looking for a cake, cupcakes or desserts for a gathering, birthday, wedding or just because, Melanie is your girl!!

When we found our wedding venue in Newmarket we immediately started looking for local vendors to help make our day special. We met Melanie at an open house at Holland Marsh Winery. She had samples, and who doesn't love free snacks! We were blown away by how delicious her cake tasted and knew we would definitely be considering her. Later when we met with her to discuss the details of what we wanted, we opted to buy cupcakes for tasting. We devoured them while she listened to our thoughts and looked at our pinterest board, she sketched a design right then and there in her studio and I have to say we loved how it turned out! People always remember a few key details about your day, our guests still talk about how good the cake was. No joke. Her carrot cake is unreal, it's classic and simple but so so good. She was such a pleasure to work with and our wedding cakes were amazing! We froze our top piece and ate it a year later for our anniversary, it was still very good! I would highly recommend Melanie's cakes. Especially if you plan of actually serving the cake to guests.

Melanie’s wedding cake was not only beautiful, it was delicious!  Melanie was also great to work with.  The wedding cake exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend her wedding cakes.

Melanie created the most gorgeous enchanted wedding cake for my husband and I. Carrot cake and Oreo vanilla layers. The only bad part? Our guests devoured most of it! It was outrageously delicious.

I hired Melanie for my wedding this past weekend and her desserts did not disappoint! I was worried that we were going to be left with so much dessert but that was far from the truth! We ordered a 3 tier naked wedding cake that was absolutely soft, fresh and delicious. We also ordered chocolate chip cookies, macaroons, cheesecake cupcakes and cream puffs. And let me just say everyone was swooning over the macaroons saying that they were the BEST macaroons they've ever had! We Highly recommend Melanie for all your desserts.

Melanie was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  She's a professional, super friendly and knows her stuff - the best part is she knows her cakes!!   They are delicious and your guests/family/friends will rave about her creations!  Melanie created a 'birch bark' looking cake for our wedding - 3 tiered, two different flavours chocolate with buttercream icing, and lemon with lemon icing and it was amazing!!  We would highly recommend Melanie's Cakes for anyone's special events.

I purchased a carrot cake for my mom's birthday and it was absolutely stunning first and foremost! and super delicious!! I would highly recommend Melanie to make a cake for any occasion. She was super easy to work with and very professional. Thank you so much, Melanie!
