At a loss for where to eat during an intense drive up north to Scrabster we stumbled upon this lovely gem of a place! After some genuinely delicious food, and the friendliest staff, we were given a tour of the hotel rooms. The rooms are all unique, a large old home renovated by the new owner. And what a wonderful job. Big rooms at excellent prices with wifi and great access to all routes north and south. When we're in the area needing a place to stay this will definitely be stop no.1

Staff was nice and friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful, but the the building needed some updating. There was no fan in the room, and the windows were painted shut, which isn't great if you like it cold to sleep. The shower head was wonderful, but the tub in the room was tall and difficult to enter and exit. For the price though, I was happy.

Great place very nice, rooms comfortable, well facilitated. Plenty of private off street parking. Nice staff running this hotel. Very accommodating

The place looks like a castle from the outside, I was already in love with the place. All staff members are very young but polite and professional. The room was huge, with a real king size bed, best sleep of my holiday. The furniture was old but well maintained, which adds a vintage allure to the place. The bathroom in the room was also big, clean and with a window!, which is not very popular in UK according to my small experience... All additional appliances were functioning, from the new TV to the old hairdryer. I only tried the buffet breakfast in the morning: the restaurant room looks elegant and clean, the buffet is small but with enough choices for every taste, the staff is polite.
