Me and my family have been going to McCoy's for years and they have never let us down. My favourite meal is Battered Cod and Regular Chips and the batter on the fish is Sooooo Good
Great fish and chips shop, the small Cod was just the right size, neither too big or small, the batter was lite and crispy with no fat. Chips were good size and not over cooked with nice fluffy centre. First time in quite a while, and will definitely be going back.
Small cod and chips £8.50 Cod was not good, tasted sour and the batter very poor, threw away. Chips were okay, as expected. Staff quite friendly.
Remarkable Experience - Engaging staff, clean facility, fresh hot food! Glad my 1st Fish & Chips in the UK was here.
Had first fish and chips since lock down. The service was good, food was just what I needed. I also didn't have exact change and they accommodated it... Really nice touch. Recommended chip shop!
Absolutely awful...my wife went into order some chips for the kids today whilst I waited in the car. She was there by the counter waiting to be served for a good 5-10mins, whilst the guy behind the counter stood on his phone. Another customer walked in and he automatically went to serve him, however the customer said that there was someone else waiting to be to served. He then took my wife's order, and he rudely said "is that it!" Your chips could have possibly been nice, but with someone like that serving the public...jeez! My wife walked out!

Lovely friendly staff, which is why I have given a third star. However, as they had ran out of vege burgers I accepted the offer of a vegetable spring roll, only to bite into it and find it was meat Major let down for me.
Best chip shop for miles. Always busy, food fabulous and good prices. Owners friendly and service as quick as is possible.
Under new ownership but still the best fish and chips in the area. Chips are freshly cut and the fish is nice and flavorful, great portion sizes as well
