The person describing this place as cosy got it right. There are books on every surface, but it's not claustrophobic. I find something about the lighting and the piles of old leather-bound books comforting. It's certainly nicer (and quieter!) than a lot of the big chain bookstores in Leicester, and you can find niche books at lower prices. I often go into town just to drop in. The fantasy/sci-fi section in particular is to die for (it's hidden in a sort of cubbyhole made of bookcases) and I've not visited yet without leaving with something from it.

Loads of books (old and new), prints, and memorabilia! Like your quintessential corner bookshop: cosy, stacks of books (but organized) and loads of old leather bound volumes that I'm afraid to touch. The kind of bookshop where you never know what you're going to find. =]
