The perfect place to see the Big cruise liners departing and arriving.
It is a nice calm and quiet place to go walking on a pier side with a marvelous view of some cruise and ferry ships. There are plenty of parking spaces which you can enjoy all the scenery of water and sky while seating. It's really a good place to relax. I often come here in the afternoon to enjoy the sea and the sunshine, in the afternoon. You won't feel tired. There are ice cream trucks, children's playgrounds, swings, basketball courts, large lawns and seats facing the sea, suitable for people of all kinds to come and play here. When night comes, you will find that the park has become another look. You will be shocked by such a nice beautiful scenery. If you have a car, you can drive directly to the park, there is a parking space , you can park facing the sea, and enjoy such a beautiful view in the car without being blown by the cold sea breeze. Remember to check the weather condition before coming to the park as it can be very windy and cold in bad weather. This is a perfect park for a date and relaxation in the evening.

There's a basketball court too.
Mayflower Park a green park by Southampton Water opposite the Mayflower monument. Small cafe and toilets pay parking on the Water front. Good place for watching the ships or just getting some sea air. There's also a kids play area with swings trampoline sandpit etc by the cafe. Unfortunately you may find the park is closed for events ie boat shows ect and maintenance.
What a great spot to sit and watch the ships outstanding
A popular place for a leisurely stroll and watching the large ships pass through. A café and an ice cream van, plenty of open grassland and parking to while away the time. Can get busy with ferry traffic and the annual Boat Show.
Always a nice place to spend a few hours watching the ships go by.
Beautiful park next to the old royal pavilion and red funnel ferry dock. Great views of the historic royal dock and pavilion as well as southampton water. Next to cruise ship dock so can often find people waving goodbye to cruise ships as they leave for their adventures. Play park and basketball park available with small shop selling hot and cold good. Very close to city centre, parking charges however do apply. Great for photography!!
Before I came to Southampton I rly thought it had beautiful beaches and waves but it turned out to be a port city rather than a seaside city. There's an ice cream truck in the park owned by a very friendly old man. I mean it doesn’t taste like wow but still worth trying.
