So much for families, couples, groups to do, play areas for children, fantastic views, many also in the sea, small sandy part on shingle beach to sit on, tide quite far out. Café/ restaurant, food, service, bathrooms all very clean, staff very on the ball, all tables were clean upon our arrival, vegetarian dishes presentation and taste 100%. Visited on Friday during summer holidays, plenty of parking. Playground: Adventure playground. Children appeared to enjoy activities. Restrooms: Very clean. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs on leads, plenty of grass areas. Picnic area: See above. Clean and tidy area.
Beautiful outlook and clear sea. However, it was incredibly stony and my youngest found it painful on the feet. Trying to pay for parking was not easy. Great place if you're wanting Beautiful views and scenic walking shoes on! Also a cafe with spectacular views and toilets! Dog-friendliness: Not sure if dogs are allowed during summer season
A fantastic place to spend the day! Parked in the more than ample car park, then strolled down to the cafe, passing a play area which looked great for kids. We had a drink and snack in the cafe on the beach; it's simple but something for everyone on the menu. We then walked the Lepe Loop which was a great 5/6 mile walk incorporating the beach, salt marshes, woods, fields and countryside. Very enjoyable, we will be back!
Great place for all the family and dogs. A local campsite in the summer holidays also.. Good food and facilities, ample parking, albeit a little expensive for a day..but regular visitors can buy an annual parking pass at a really good cost and add two cars to the pass. Dog-friendliness: Great for a dog walk, just be mindful of tidal sections on the sea.
Somewhere to chill in sunny day. Please bring your trash home, there is no bin. Car park close at 10pm, lovely spot to walk along sea, do BBQ must book, and just do nothing and stare at sea. Playground: Children friendly, some playground available Restrooms: Open all day Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Anywhere you want, but bring your trash
So many different habitats and so much biodiversity in one spot. We particularly loved the sensory garden, so well looked after. Not the greatest of weather but we spent a couple of hours happily exploring, so much to see. Could easily while away a day with a picnic
A glorious afternoon to be had at this coastal country park. There’s a cafe, bbq area that requires booking, car parking that you pay on the way out check charges as I was charged £8 for the afternoon. This location was a very significant part of D day as the boats headed for Normandy left from the beach here. Amazingly, there are remnants of the pontoon and boat mooring from the that era. Picnic area: Benches and bbq area. BBQ needs to be booked beforehand.
A stunning location with broad views across the western Solent. There are extensive walks and picnic areas and dog walking trails. There are some signs about strong currents on the point so some areas may require checking before swimming. Swimming areas may be marked on the info boards, but this was a quick first visit. Good disabled parking and toilets on the lower sea level car park. There is also a higher level carpark. There is a lookout centre with refreshments. Accessible from the upper car park via ramp or steps or on the same level on the lower car park. Note that the ramps from the upper car park to toilets and lookout is quite steep. Parking payment is on leaving. Playground: Very good playground, but may need close supervision for smaller children. Restrooms: New and well kept. Dog-friendliness: Very good. Dogs not allowed everywhere but clearly marked. Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas.
Unfortunately it was a cold windy day when visiting. plenty to see with views across to the Isle of Wight. Parking is expensive £2.50 for 1 hour disabled have to paybut with so many walks it's nowhere enough you have to pay in a small hut by cafe. cafe prices for a cup of tea is £2.50 latte £3.40. Saw a funny sign unstable cliff family beach
Basically a narrow strip of beach. Modest but expensive car parking. New cafe and toilet block. Also older but adequate beach toilets. Good for coastal walks, especially at low tide. Can do a loop following paths through local fields.
