When booking an appointment they schedule it for 2-3 weeks later. In my previous practice they were able to give me if not same day an appointment to go to within a few days. Bear this in mind if you have reoccurring health issues. One of the doctors I spoke to for a health issue and wanting to get a blood test can’t remember his name, insisted that I am “too young to have health issues” and tried to push back. Honestly such a horrible thing to say, because anyone can get sick at any age. Glad I stood my ground because turns out I did have some health issues in the end.
My girlfriend who's pregnant been coughing and being sick she finally got an appointments to see the nurse she's gose to her appointment just to be turn away because the nurse doesn't deal with pregnant women I'm not happy first the doctor told her she can't take her 1 year old I was out with my 2 year old at her play group I'm leaving a one star because the service is terrible and they do. Not look after there patients needs I will be changing are doctors after today they are useless they need to be shut down for good
This has been the worse service ever! Whenever I call to book an appointment, it’s always in 3 - 4 weeks time and it’s a telephone appointment. The last one I had, the doctor ended the call on my halfway through my complaints and even the referral he promised, has not been made yet. It’s almost 3 months now. The centre should be looked into and probably more doctors added.
Been with this GPs the whole time I was at university and would recommend. Nurses, doctors and reception staff have always been friendly and professional. Never had too much trouble getting an appointment and felt like my concerns have been listened to and taken seriously.
Extremely poor service. I had telephone appointment booked for today 5th March 2024. I 100% booked for Today and even booked it in my work diary. However, I called the practice today and the lady in reception said GP is running late by 15 min on calls and will call me shortly. Another 15min go by. I call the practice and the same lady said I don’t have an appointment booked. It’s booked for the 15th March 2024. Its one thing, you people have changed the appointment without confirming with me. However, to clearly lie to me over the phone and make me feel that I got the dates wrong is disgusting. Don’t lie to cover your tracks. Just own up to your mistakes. I’m not sure if I wanna use this practice going forward.
The reception desk has always tried to help. Sometimes i have had to use walkin centre as appointments are not available. There are 2 doctors and a nurse i fully understand that there is only so many hours in the day and that they cant see everyone. I am not the only person in the world that needs to see a doctor. Thank you to both doctors who have seen my family and to all the reception staff who try to accommodate each booking.
Awful experience - 6 months of issues. My cousin studying to be a doctor was able to diagnose me better.
I have been a patient here for 10 years, i see Dr Garson as my main Dr. He has always been wonderful and caring and listens to my problems, something previous practices haven't done. The reception staff are excellent, they all are efficient and provide excellent customer serive. Kerry is an absolute STAR, she met my most recent needs with the best service i could have hoped for, I can't thank her enough. I have seen Dr Locham too from time to time for more minor health concerns and have always been happy with his attitude and feel that he again cares about his patients. I have never been to see either Dr and felt dissapointed with the outcome. Over covid the telephone appointments have always been prompt but i do miss the personal touch that the in person appointments had, I am looking forward to getting back to face to face with them.
Took 2 weeks to get an appointment about an injury to my knee. Dr didn't even look at it and just advised me to 'rest it' for two weeks and, if it wasn't better by then, call for a referral. I did precisely that 2 weeks later and heard nothing for another 2-and-a-half weeks. I chased again and it turns out I will hear back regarding my referral "by 1 December" i.e., a month-and-a-half from now and 3 months since sustaining the injury. What a dire state the NHS is in...
I was with this medical centre for 4 years whilst I was at uni. The receptionists are great and the nurse is good. In relation to the two doctors there - Dr Garson and Dr Locham - I would say this. First, I used Dr Garson: he seems to be a competent doctor, at least this was the impression I got from a few phone appointments I had with him. However, when I had my first virtual video-appointment due to Covid-19 he disappointed me for his lack of manners. This is because I had more than one health issue to report/get his advice on, and as soon as I finished the first one and moved to the second, he said: 'now, we will treat this issue, and once this is sorted, you can talk about the others', and when I was trying to explain that they were related, he basically closed down the video-appointment on my face just like that!. After this, I changed my GP to Dr Locham. However, this GP also has a problem: he rushes you like he needs to catch a train ASAP! This is particularly unpleasant when you are trying to explain a difficult health issue and he interrupts you and makes you feel like you are wasting his time. So, if you have other options and do not fancy being mistreated or rushed through, maybe look elsewhere. Having said that, both seem to be knowledgeable doctors though.
