About

Matalan's news, sales, promotions.

Story

From the day Matalan started back in 1985, to today over 30 years on, our mission has always stayed the same; to provide outstanding value for modern families.
We take our time to listen, understand and evolve to fit changing modern family needs, always with an emphasis on providing the highest quality clothing and homeware for the lowest price. 12 million UK families each year trust us with their precious family budgets and to provide the range, style, quality and value that enable them to run a modern, happy, family home. It's no surprise then that we were recently awarded a prestigious Gold Award at the Mumsnet Family Friendly awards for the third year running.
Our free Matalan reward card gives our members access to the best family offers all year round in any of our stores or at matalan.co.uk. Our location, free convenient parking, 'everything under one roof' set up and free click and collect service are just some of the reasons why our customers love shopping at Matalan.

Went here to buy my granddaughter some new clothes as a bloke I had no clue so I asked Aishah for help and she was extremely helpful she made sure I got everything I needed even the size I needed I wish there was more Aishah in the world as it would be great thank you so much
Alot selection of clothes, compared to Stafford, also there is a toy section which is fair size, staff very accommodating, was better at longton then Stafford, feels more spacious and easier to drive to from Stone
Not for me, what has happened to Matalan?! There is a world full of cheap clothes online but cheap and unfashionable in store, is another matter. Come on Matalan get in the real world, no wonder online stores do better.nHomeware department also used to be worth a look at but even that has shrunk and is no longer worth bothering with.
The staff in Matalan in Longton are extremely rude and unhelpful. The Store Manager, whose name is Kim, does not set an example to her staff when it comes to customer service and people skills.nThe last time I was shopping in the store I left 'in tears,' because of Kim's attitude towards me.nAlthough I live close to the store, I travel to the Matalan at Wolstanton Retail Park, since I prefer shopping at that store instead.
Fitting rooms were shut down at 7:45 already. Really disappointing. Not sure that’s how the business is run.
