Store is always tidy and well presented. Homeware is great and reasonably priced. Used the self service tills and although my matalan card wouldnt scan at first, a staff member immediately came to help and then asked if there was anything else they could help me with at the till. Excellent customer service which should be recognised, many thanks
Nice well stocked store, but all the tills are self service now which I hate, so today was my last time shopping there. Big corporations making money by cutting jobs, leaving the customer to serve themselves isn't for me, so I can no longer support the store.
Online is rubbish but store was so much more helpful and customer. All the staff were extremely helpful and considerate of my shocking online delivery service with EVRI but IF NOT FOR THE STAFF SPECIFICALLY MARIAN AND THE MANAGER I would not shop in Matalan again.
Just had a quick shop in Matalan's in Southend on the ground that used to be the old dog stadium. Quite a large shop selling men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes and also having a homewares department. Kitchen utensils seem particularly cheap and they also have an electrical lighting section. To the rear of the shop is a large changing/fitting room and there are plenty of staff that were really helpful. You get 2 hours free parking but please note, shopping trollies need the £1 refundable token if you require a trolley for your shopping. Prices are extremely cheap, maybe not all items have the quality of say M&S and Next but you'll certainly save yourself a few quid. Please see my pictures, hope this review helps.
Large spacious store good car park which is free for a couple of hours big fitting rooms with a nice selection of clothing and home ware
