I do like matalan but this store is filthy, everything is a mess, staff are miserable & mostly standing around doing nothing, no wonder the store is so untidy. The changing room door had the tip of a screw coming though, someone's going to get hurt on that. Not quite sure how something like that was missed when the person screwed it in. No toilets here.
yesterday I was asking lady about price she canot to find the price so she told me is 50 pounds for bowl that same bowl on website is 17 so I was asking her where did she check price she said website ... on the website that bowl is like new on store price is 17 pounds no 50 ... sad that in this way they lie the client...
Probably the most uncustomer friendly staff iv ever met, apart from the lady that helped put my stuff through the till, they had all sale stuff out and wouldn’t let me have at the sale price, tried to speak to a manager to get told of I wanted to speak to her I would have to give her a call 2 hrs later. The poor young guy needed the toilet and kept calling out for someone to cover him, the girl kept saying he would have to wait. So many things just wasn’t good for me so I emailed customer service who then tell me I would get a £5 voucher, as I felt disgusted with this they then offered me 20% off, honestly I don’t want anything from them just sort your management out!!!!! I also had to bring back my duvet as it had no pillow cases in it to be told I had to wait for a manager, I then said is that her over there, the member of staff said yes you have to wait, she was only talking to another member of staff, really is bad, feel so sorry for the people that work in there
Sun 2nd April...queue to pay is ridiculous...so long it reaches to halfway down the store....thought retailers wanted us to depend with them!!! As usual no management on floor.
Staff are very friendly. Prices are Good. Good parking.Very disappointed today staff still very friendly. Saw a lovely velvet coat they only had size 6 and 18, they do not know when they will get any more. I have just looked on their web site and they are completely out of stock apart from size 6. No details on when more will be in.
Oddly located store but big range of clothing. Seems to be tailored more towards women's ranges rather than men's, and can be messy if the store has been busy. Queues easily mount up at the till, and the insistence of proving your 'membership' details slows things down as well. But great prices and cheap 'n' cheerful ranges. Quality not bad at all.
Shocking! Waited 45mins for the manger to find out if I paid for the original items by card so I could claim my money back. The item was exchanged and so didn’t require the original Receipt. The item still wasn’t right so I brought it back with the receipt and I was offered gift vouchers. Sorted in the end but what a lengthy process! Manager unprofessional wouldn’t even talk to Me, the man behind the till very accommodating
Easy to shop, very quiet yet enough staff on checkout.
I so enjoy shopping in Matalan there is so much choice and even when you think you have seen everything something catches your eye. There is always new stock coming in so visiting every now and then is a must, very helpful staff and lots of parking.
Poor management and poor customer service. Don't deserve even 1 star
