Avoid this firm and James Carley specifically at all costs. This horrible, duplicitous, unethical, evil man has delighted in setting my 28 year old emotionally unstable ill daughter against me. He put up every made up issue possible and milked a nonsense nonexistent dispute for all its worth constantly reneging, mis-advising, frightening and manipulating my vulnerable ill daughter to keep the matter going for over 2 years and using the promise of a settlement that never materialised to get me to pay to get her out of it. Eventually even trying to have me evicted from my own home. It's still going on! First he wrongly contested and lost an appeal over a costs order made against me and my daughter and then charged £25k for his failure, then managed to engineer a dispute between her and me after that was concluded and kept that going for another 2 years while he has needlessly continued to run up another £20k in more of his "costs" so she can not get out of it. He is driving me to suicide and kept us at loggerheads manipulating my daughter needlessly over nothing at all for 3 years in total already. A completely dishonest man who will purposefully invent one specious issue after another, solve nothing, and delight in the problems he causes to keep a dispute going on for as long as he possibly can of course always charging whoever he can £300 /hr for his malicious mischief making. He has done untold damage to my family. An evil man with an awful reputation everywhere with other firms and solicitors for disruption and incompetence only interested in himself and his own profit who will stop at nothing to drag out and maximize his own costs from anything he is dealing with. He doesn't care how much harm he does or who pays as long as he can keep charging someone the maximum he can get away with. Needs to be at least struck off. Look at the other reviews. He lives at 171 Old Road, Chesterfield S40 3SW with his wife Kay Carley. Someone please help.

Most helpful but can be expensive. Don't use if you're on a tight budget, but excellent results when money is no object

Horrendous experience. Had the misfortune to deal with James Carley on a misrepresentation case. Instructed him to produce a letter. He missed the deadline then refused to take my calls or respond to emails. Wasted 3 weeks of my time and I had to go elsewhere.

We have been using this practice for over 30 years and have found the senior staff very professional in their field.

Do not ever consider using them. James Carley - No, No, No, No! Ended up instigating High Court proceedings to gain redress.
