Would definitely recommend! Enjoyed a lovely Bottomless Brunch at The Masons Arms. Food was great and reasonably priced. They catered for dietary requirements: Peanut allergy and Gluten & Dairy Free. The staff are amazing we were well looked after by Alice, Ali, Ben and Jess. Will definitely be going back.
A mixed review as we've had mixed experiences! We have put several friends and family members up here when we've run out of room at home, and all report that the rooms are lovely, but the service is abysmal. One of our guests was there for two nights, the first morning, his breakfast arrived 45 minutes after the other two peoplealso friends of ours he was seated with, and the second morning, it didn't arrive at all and he gave up at 65 minutes. Quite telling that he didn't even see anyone to complain to in that time frame! We have eaten at the Mason's 3 times. The food was "okay", the service was "okay". A real shame since the place itself, and it's central location are fabulous.
It was my partners 50th birthday this week and we decided to spend an evening in Louth, we were recommended to stay at the Mason's Arms and what a great place it was. Perfect location, free parking a few minutes away, the most comfortable bed with a great sized room, modern bathroom and a lovely view. Surprised to see a nespresso coffee machine in the room which made an awesome cup of coffee and nice cold water in the fridge. Breakfast was really good, perfectly cooked and plenty of it. The staff were really nice. Highly recommended. Thanks Neil & Nella Small Beer
Went to ‘The Library’ today with my family and dog as I have done on numerous occasions Before setting out I checked online to make sure The Library was open and still allowing dogs which it said was still the case. When we turned up we discovered that The Library has now become Chuck Burger and after enquiring we were told that dogs are no longer allowed. The whole place was empty and they lost four customers. Such a shame when in this day and age businesses are competing for customers. Most places allow dogs now
Totally discussed, booked online months ago for family afternoon tea via a Facebook link advertising afternoon tea when we arrived we were told you can not book online for afternoon tea, probably our fault for not checking but link very misleading. We choose to stay and eat in, two of us ordered fish and chips, eventually when it arrived after a long wait we were told there was no vinegar and the fish looked well over cooked almost dark brown in colour rather then golden. We refused the food, when we when to leave they had charged us for for everything! We had to have a argument with a very rude bar man who told us even though we had refused, they had still made the food for us. We were made to feel very uncomfortable in front of other members of staff and customers. Also it was so cold in the restaurant the whole stay was very disappointing! Will not be going back to eat of drink there again ! Extremely rude staff , bad service and poor quality food.
Overnight stay. We were initially put in a room right next door to a party in their function room, but we were found a quieter one when we asked. Character hotel. Comfortable bed. No food served after 4pm but some good suggestions were made for places to eat nearby. Good cooked breakfast options but nothing like cereal or pastries. Parking free in a carpark a few minutes walk away since the roads around the hotel are pedestrianised, it would have been easier if this had been explained in advance.
Fantastic place for breakfast open from 8am. Very pretty to sit in with great quality food and a load of different choices. Perfect for anyone visiting the town who needs and early bite! Usually quiet there in the morning too so the food comes pretty quick.
Went for lunch with my cousin and the service and food was very poor! Had to send both meals back, one undercooked and the other was nothing like stated on the menu. They need to research what types of salad they are offering and not just throw lettuce n tomato on a plate!!!
An elegant hotel, centrally located on Cornmarket Square. Room was spacious, bath modern, with a nice view of the market clock tower. The breakfast options included with the room were varied and delicious, and the staff were helpful and accommodating ... especially Alice the onsite manager during our stay. Highly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Looked pleasant. Went during Xmas Fayre to see Love 4 Wood. Excellent to open up for craft stalls.Atmosphere: 4/5
