Although it looks nothing special from the outside painted decently but that's all , it is very nice inside. The staff are friendly and welcoming with a decent range of drinks including cask ales with a cask ale award. The choice of meals is adequate although there is an additional specials / offers list , but the quality is excellent. Some prices possibly a little high maybe, but appropriate for the standard and presentation. I would highly recommend it and we will certainly visit again when in Louth.
Our Monday night 'book' club went tonight, first time the 5 of us eating there. We ordered a pizza and the 7 small plates a very good choice to pick from. Plenty of food for us to nibble at and absolutely beautifully cooked and good portion sizes. We all felt nicely full and was very impressed. Can highly recommend the pizza, ribs, beef nachos
Gorgeous lounge atmosphere with a log fire. Lounge staff including young lad behind the bar was lovely and had a great attitude and brilliant martini skills Simon the chef cooked up some incredible food. Fish and chips kids meal - brilliant batter on the fish, my six year old gave it 10/10 Rib eye was cooked beautifully and the chorizo butter was to die for! We also had 3 small plates which were delicious. Cocktails also great, highly recommend for a relaxed drink in front of the fire with some nibbles or for dinner. Highly recommend
Very tasty stop in a lovely picturesque town. Some traditional grub, plus some interesting specials. Cosy atmosphere and warm and welcoming fireplace to enjoy with good company. Been a couple times, staff friendly and helpful.
Stopped off here for some late lunch after seeing the rave reviews on Google. Wheelchair friendly and fog friendly. The staff were very welcoming and eager to make sure we were well looked after. Great food, great venue, definitely worth checking out if you're in town!
Huge portions of gorgeous food, which luckily they supply take home boxes for when you really can't eat another bite and the staff were wonderful. Very pleasant and will be back
Cask Marque pub with choice of Black Sheep or Adnams Southwold. Very modern interior and nice beer garden. Lacks the taditionsl pub vibe for me. Went for the ubiquitous Black Sheep. Probably too old but wife says toilets are excellent.
Had an amazing meal here on Saturday. Arrived on time and asked if we could postpone our table for half an hour so we could grab a drink in the bar which was happily accepted. Both bottles of wine we had were great and the starter off menu was good too. The mains, a pizza and monkfish were delicious. But the star of the show had to be restaurant manager, Reggie. From start to finish she made us feel so welcome and had an in depth knowledge of the food and drink menus. The only issue would be the menu itself, bad kerning meant some words were illegible. The Greyhound logo is cut in half a few times and the overall look of the inner sheets seemed to lack any thought.
I went there after 30 minutes drive, after I booked my table to watch the world cup. Soon I arrive wasn’t any table reserved. No one could help me, also the manager didn’t know Notthing regarding that. Staff not professional at all.
Poor food and poor excuses, for trying to give us food poisoning from luke warm scallops, according to the sous chef thisis acceptable, cremated food for main course, would not recommend at all, better off at mcdonaldsFood: 1/5
