The food and cocktails where good . The space is clean and the atmosphere was incredible. Even tho we Where sitting in the middle of the restaurant the staff seemed to be overlooking us constantly. My friend asked for the staff to recommend her something mild her food was far from mild and she barely ended up eating any. We understand everyone has a different level of tolerance but she had specifically asked for something mild and was given the opposite…
We dined here a few times during our month-long stay around Camden. While some may question the spiciness of the food, we found the heat to be of a suitable level. In general the food was delicious and flavourful, and the staff were also friendly and welcoming - both reasons for our repeated visits. Of course this isn’t the cheapest restaurant in the area, and one certainly shouldn’t expect that given the quality of the food and the environment, but I found this to be well worth it.
The ambience is wonderful, very Indian chic. The food itself is mixed. The samosa filling was oddly powdery. The gold gappa pani poori had four pieces only, for six pounds!. The dal makhani was delicious, the Chana masala was spicy and well cooked. Palak was just mushed palak, the Malabar chicken was ok. Naan perhaps use too much maida as the result was thick. Rice was well made. Service was good, we were able to call attention when needed.
Had a great meal with friends here. Not sure about how amazing the food is, everything was so so spicy that It's hard to really notice if the food is tasty. I was very impressed by the starter mince lamb, very delicious and not too spicy, great presentation also.
Masala Zone is our favourite Indian restaurant when we want to have an authentic Indian meal at reasonable prices. They have many outlets, including Bayswater, Convent Garden etc but our favourite is the restaurant at Camden. The restaurant has very nice decor, and service is always excellent. Today, Kandel Roshan was our server, and service was as usual superb. I would recommend having the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Butter Chicken Thali sets. They are very good and value for money. The restaurant also has a dining room on the lower floor that is good for private functions. Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome. High chairs are available.
Finally an original Indian restaurant that is not one of the fake Bangladeshis calling themselves Indian cuisine. Truly authentic Indian food as it is enjoyed back in India. Biryani was super tasty.
Walking distance from the Camden Market and The Stables, nice interior. I liked the starters most, those were really delightful. The Thali was good but not exceptional. They did a good job in making the food hot and spice while still giving the other tastes a room to be explored.
This restaurant is close to Camden town and the food is not so great but ambiance is really good. We ordered the minimal food and we ended up paying 67 pounds and i felt its very very expensive. Also once we ordered the food they took almost 20+ min to deliver the food. I felt Waiting time is too high. Also we asked for the curry to be more spice however the curry was completely sweet, instead of making the curry spice they gave us the chopped green chills to add for the curry.
Ali gave us a hearty greeting. We were taken to our table right away because we had a reservation.Ali and another gentleman served as our servers. It was one of the finest dinners we had together, and we were here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The decor was fantastic, and the cuisine was outstanding. Not to forget the amazing cocktails.
Absolutely loved this place in Camden Town. The food was unbelievably fresh and delicious Staff was very friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, calm and pleasant if you want to have a delicious butter chicken this is the place. I will definitely visit this place again.Food: 5/5
