I've been to Maharani Lounge before and it was amazing! The ambiance was elegant and cozy, perfect for a special night out. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Let's talk about the food... it was absolutely delicious! The menu had a great variety of dishes, and each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Overall, Maharani Lounge is a top-notch restaurant with fantastic food and a wonderful dining experience. You won't be disappointed! Enjoy your visit!
Came here on a Friday night with 4 friends. We were the only table in the place. The food was nice but there was zero atmosphere. When paying our bill we were met with a £22 mandatory service charge as well as paying for over priced bottles of beer. I thought this was incredibly crafty as it was never mentioned anywhere prior to booking the restaurant or prior to ordering. Very disappointing.
Food was really good and curries were authentic taste. Hope to visit again, God willing. The incense was bit strong for me, but rest of family liked it. Thank you for the service. See you laterFood: 5/5
Service was as expected of a cafe/ restaurant in Camden, no questions about kindness and attention, that comes at a price of service charge. Food tasted good, probs a bit too spicy for us but generally we’ve been made aware. What’s shocking is the size of portions, one of the dish with prawns, was £20, but probably had 6 pieces. Generally okayish, but not coming back.
Service was so slow that I thought the starter would arrive the next day. Arrived after 5pm their opening time. No chef, no waiting staff, no service. Took an hour and a half for the food to arrive. One of the party had their starter and main delivered at the same time. One of the party had to leave before their food arrived to make another commitment. The bottomless drinks were so slow that it felt deliberate. Asked for some flexibility on the bill due to the poor service. Got a £12 discount for a party of five and was advised that service was included !! Food was good but not worth everything else. Have never posted a Don’t Go! review before. But don’t go.
I held my 30th birthday at Maharani Lounge on April 27th, and I am disappointed with the service I received. It has been two months since the event, and I still haven't received my deposit back. They repeatedly claim it has been "processed," but no process should take this long. This feels like outright theft, and I strongly urge others to avoid this venue unless you want to be swindled. Two weeks before my event, the venue was fully aware that the speakers and microphone were not working, yet they failed to inform us. We only discovered this crucial issue when the DJ attempted to use the equipment. Thankfully, our DJ was resourceful and managed to work around the problem, but the venue's lack of communication and preparation was utterly unacceptable. When questioned, the staff admitted they knew about the problem but chose to do nothing, showing complete disregard for our event. Additionally, the events manager was not only rude but also profoundly unprofessional. He was blatantly flirting with and ended up hooking up with one of my guests, which is appalling behavior for someone in his position. It was agreed in advance that we would set up at 5 pm, but he ignored this and allowed restaurant guests to eat until 6:30 pm, causing a significant delay when my event was supposed to start at 7 pm. When he eventually allowed us to set up, my mum and sister simply asked to move some tables—a straightforward request that turned into a major issue due to the manager's unhelpful attitude and constant complaints. The condition of the venue was equally disgraceful. The floor seemed unstable, and there was a leak in the roof near the entrance. These issues further highlight the venue's poor maintenance and lack of care. Overall, my experience at Maharani Lounge was an absolute nightmare. I strongly advise anyone considering this venue to stay far away. I demand my deposit back immediately, or I will be forced to report this business for their unacceptable practices and unprofessional conduct.

We had a party for 30 people and the food served was amazing. We had Pappadums, chutneys and salads for appetisers, followed by Fish Cutlets, Vegetable Beetroot Croquettes for starters. Then arrived the Mutton Kosha, Alu Gobi and Yellow Dal Tadka for Mains with Pulao rice and Naans. We finished with Nolen Gurer Sondesh, a Bengali dessert. Professional service and a great chef serving good food while located just within a 5 min walk from Camden tube station.
