Great little music venue for jazz, blues, etc. Friendly and accommodating staff. Had a very enjoyable here. The basement room is very small and intimate and a great setting for listening to music. The only negative was very slow service at the bar.
Fabulous music venue. It's quite small, so if there is an act that you particularly want to see, then do book ahead. There are some long tables with benches and chairs, as well as smaller tables and chairs if you want to sit down. They also serve some delicious savoury food, and often have a selection of cakes.
Always great to find a venue that respects the artists and allows space for the music. You can hear a pin drop between notes as everyone, including the staff, are listening to everything. Northern Resonance and William Jack this evening, who were both amazing. I'll be back again for more soon.
Small place hills about 50 well trained spectators. It is a relief that people are there to actually listen to the artists. Good sound. Good selection of bottled beer and draught lager. Snacks available which include some vegan ones.
Fabulous, intimate music venue with wonderful and varied artists. I can’t give it 5 stars though, because it is let down by its food. The only thing edible is the olives, which were lovely. The food tasted old and was barely reheated, and on top of all that, was massively overpriced. Surely they could offer nicer, quality snack food? Maybe a cheese and Spanish ham platter? Just saying. The variety of drinks in offer is fab so such a small area to improve on.
A hot evening watching The Vagaband. Excellent entertainment and good food. Beer choices could have been better, but you can't always get good craft beer as well as the food and entertainment
One of Camden’s gems. A down-to-earth live music venue with great acoustics and intimate and warm atmosphere. Attracts fantastic folk, Americana and jazz musicians at very affordable prices.
Excellent intimate venue. Great atmosphere. Great beer. One of my favourite venues.
The speak easy basement is a bit too narrow to get in and gets overcrowded pretty quickly. Not comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and always nice music with delicious cocktails.
Fabulous little venue, friendly staff and simply the coolest place to listen to live music and Vanessa Forero was wonderful, her stories, her beautiful voice, brilliant evening - thank you
