Went to Clacton zoo on Saturday. My boys aged 6 & 7 absolutely loved it. The animals all looked happy and the kids had a great time feeding them. This was our first visit and at only £3 each entrance fee we will definitely be returning frequently during the summer holidays. The tower was great, steeped in history with informative posters dotted around.. Fantastic views from the top of the tower, once again, the kids loved having a look up there. All in all a keenly priced morning for my kids.

Good to visit if you are in the neighbourhood, not much to see, but you get to visit a treasure from the past as well!

Lovely place to feed animals with the children. Kept them entertain for a few hours. While in clacton.

The tower is open to the public and the Moat is an unique childrens zoo where the animals roam free enabling you to stroke and pick them up . this and being allowed full access to the historic martello tower make it the perfect day out for all the family.

It's not a zoo,a couple of ducks and the odd goat doesn't make it a zoo. it's OK for a quick visit if you have children but no longer than 30 minutes or so.
