Marston Vale Millennium Country Park

Good accessible car parking and semi rough paths for mobility scooters. I did fine in my Shoprider Sovereign 4. Shame there isn't a better lake view all around but a very pleasant 5 mile walk, nature reserve and woodland with shade down one side of Lake and plenty of seats to rest at. Today there was a speedboat event at the Sailing Club but this didn't put anyone off using the park for other leisure. Cycling horse riding Walkington off lead dog walkers all got along fine. Food is quite expensive at the Cafe £5 a sandwich meal, £4 a toastie so dropped one star only for that. Car parking only £1 donation asked for and you don't need change as you can give this in the visitor centre. Nice little gift shop too. Outdoor play area with lots of grass and shade was very welcome, people playing ball and dogs and their parents resting. Will definitely return for pleasant 1.5 hour leisurely walk again. Outdoor taps and plenty of dog water bowls.

Lovely place to walk around although very disappointing to hear that the Forest Centre has taken a 'neutral' stance on the incinerator that is to be built next door. This will be both an eyesore and a terrible pollutant less than a few metres from it's boundary fence. 4 star now, 1 star very soon.

Lovely place for a walk, or bike ride. Several routes, none too hard.

Wonderful place for dog walking and having a snack/ afternoon tea whilst watching nature.
