During the daytime, we offer a easy-going atmosphere, with a varied food menu, a venue in which to chill, use the free WiFi , meet, eat and drink – with specials offers on food and drink. Lovely, homely pub. Service was a bit slow when we went in but they were busy. Would be 5 stars but the food isn't the best. We've eaten here a few times now and have left disappointed on each occasionl The dishes we've had have been very basic and quite bland lacking in quality and quantity. On the plus side It's good to see places offering vegan options. marquis has produced an easy to read, clearly labeled menu. There's also disabled access and plenty of room to get a wheelchair in. The pub is comfortable and bright. The staff are welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Right in the heart of Hessle this pub hasn't changed much over many years and that's one of the problems. Yes eating was introduced a few years ago but I cannot remember the decor having a refurbishment. But maybe they don't need to as the clientele like the way it is. Overall it caters for the middle aged and above with a large lounge, a separate bar and separate dining area, has a wide choice of drinks including tea/coffee, and a food menu familiar to most pubs. As for the food we have had some lovely meals but on the odd occasion I think they must have been having an off day. 

Prices are reasonable for the food and drink but it's an odd situation in Hessle as establishments seem to be popular then fall out of fashion and people go elsewhere. But then after a while many return and Granby has had a few of these moments over the years. From the outside it's a quaint looking building, round the back is the parking area and a place to have a drink and smoke, an outside drinking area, in the nice weather, has been available, basically in the car park. Worth a visit, if not to your taste then other establishments are not far away.

My partner and I visited the granby today on the grand opening, we were offered a free meal which was delicious BBQ chicken melt and made very welcome. We shall be back soon !!!
