Had a very fine lunch of steak and ale pie and fat chips washed down by several pints fine ale here today. We may be living in the time of Covid19 but it was just great, helped in no small part by the excellent staff. Well done all.
Pretty sick steak and ale pie!!! Recommended if you’re keen on good old British pub food.
Good ambiance, friendly service and social distancing in place. BUT paying £6+ for a standard pint was painful. FYI 2 hour limit on walk-in tables when we came.
Cianan was very helpful and articulate in explaining the new safety precautions and treated us to a taster of lovely whiskey. Overall, an excellent service and am referring my mates!
Very lovely upstairs gastro pub with a great serving team and delicious food. The scotch eggs were amazing as was the baked Camenbert [both highly recommended].
