Great store. Popped in whilst on holiday in Devon. Lots of ranges available and very friendly staff in both the main store, food store and cafe. The cafe is also particularly worth mentioning. After picking up a few clothes we ate in this upstairs and it does fantastic sandwiches and toasties. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Thanks so much.

Great store every thing you need and good location
Used to have a decent selection of menswear. Now just a couple of racks in between Christmas gifts. Shocking and sad
Nice store, there is a nice selection of food here, it can be a little expensive but the quality is usually very good. The food section can get quite busy at times, leading to cramped isles and longer waiting times at the till. The clothing sections are nicely set out, easy to navigate and are less cramped during busy periods.
I am appalled that a multi million pound company does not have security against people stealing. I witnessed a blatant thief fill his bag and when I told a member of staff his reaction was to do nothing. Apparently it is your rules that you are not allowed to check someone bag, even when they leave the premises. I am more annoyed that your prices are really high so it’s the customers who don’t steal have to pay for your losses.
Cafe staff lovely. Noting a review on here that the cafe staff are curt and off with customers, I would like to respond to this. We have been coming to this M&S for years and the cafe staff have not changed much. They are always lovely and kind and have never never known them to be curt. They cant do enough to help and I have seen them help disabled people above and beyond the call of duty. Lovely store all round - we are lucky to have it and during lockdown they were wonderful to us.
Pretty pricey but quality is good
This is a medium sized M&S that has a food hall and a small cafe as well as all the other normal departments. The staff are friendly and helpful and the store is well laid out. The only things that let it down are the are the following:- 1. A decent beauty department. This one is very small with a limited range of products. It's not too bad when it comes to skin care but really lacking where makeup is concerned. Even only slightly bigger stores have a better selection than this one. 2. It only has an escalator to go up to the next floor, but there isn't one to go down on. Instead there's a long flight of often rather gloomy stairs. There is a lift but it's not very well signed and it's tucked away in a corner at the back of men's footwear. If you didn't know the store well it would be hard to find. I know this might sound a bit petty but it's a big issue for those of us with mobility problems who struggle with stairs, and is of course especially difficult for wheelchair users. However, the above points notwithstanding, overall it's a nice place to shop and we use it regularly.
I use the food hall regularly, The staff are great ambassadors for M&S. Nothing is ever to much trouble however busy they are. The store is always beautifully presented too.
