Love this store. The staff are always helpful and go out of there way to help you. Alway a friendly And smiling faces. This store is far better then the extra. More personal. And friendly. Love the f&f new look. Again the girls are so helpful.

I was never a fan of Tesco, but over the years I have found their produce really better than most others when I have to use someone else and compare. It also seems better value overall on price. OK they don't always get it right with the fresh produce, as I found their own cheaper (not economy) farm brands to be really bad tasting and poor quality more often than not. Staff are really friendly and they are in the main easy to deal with. The store has a really big range of goods. The bakers is not as good as it could be as the dough seems always undercooked inside for me and too heavy. Fish and meat counters are good and some staff know (and have take the time) to understand their produce.

Gluten free focused comment : dedicated corner is a little bit hidden, backyard on the left corner. But furnished with a lot of choices of cakes, mostly very sugary or fat. I found more healthy snacks without gluten in the cereals section.

Being on the outskirts of town, this Tesco is easy to reach. There is plenty of parking and trolly storage at well placed intervals. The shop is usually well stocked with favourite items. They also have self scan service and the self service tills. The usual kiosk with lottery is available at the entrance. The store is located close to other amenities like pharmacy, key cutting, Thomas cook, Subway, Tesco Cafe. Also in the vicinity are the Garden Centre, Homebase, Argos and Wickes.

Convenient to main road so easy to pop in if travelling with mo need to go in to Barnstaple centre. Wide choice. Petrol station.
