Asda as a Superstore is great and the parking at the Barnstaple branch is amazingly spacious. But going to the cafe, is a massive disappointment. The cafe was dirty, the tables were still covered with dried on food from previous diners and the staff did not appear to have any pride in their work. One young girl cleared a few tables, no wiping of the tables or chairs and her uniform was filthy. No sweeping around the tables and the sofa chairs had dried bits of food scattard on them.nI will continue shopping at Asda, but will be giving the cafe a miss.
Well yes, a huge range of products and at competitive prices, but the music is terrible, it’s too loud, annoying and repetitive too. I personally avoid shopping here if possible, any retailer cafe restaurant etc that plays music; it’s too political. Asda should take note of the German stores! There are not enough manned checkouts at Asda; cost cutting in the extreme and reducing staffing costs of course.nAddendum…nNow they have removed some of the pay booths at the petrol stations, so card only, not that I purchase petrol there, it’s cheaper elsewhere.
This place got to get a one star review for me for direct discrimination, had no awareness of MS patient.nnThey really should lose their disability confidence. I do personally feel them holding disability.nnConfidence is a fake badge of honour. More like a status symbol.nnI would love to see asda getting in contact with me and see what kind of training they actually have in place with disabilities in mind.nnI have written this review on behalf of someone,nnYou have caused them distress and they do not feel like coming back to Asda ever again because of it.
I don’t know who hurt Clare on customer services today but she needs to speak to someone. My mum has auditory/sensory processing delays and while she was taking a second to think, Clare was so passive aggressive towards her it was incredibly patronising.
It was AMAZING!!! We sent the kids off to get what snacks they wanted while we got everything and yes, I do mean everything else! We got food and drinks we needed for the first 3 days of our holiday and managed to get threw the checkout within 5 minutes!
