We were in there as a group of friends at almost Christmas 2019 and as usual, very friendly place staff look after us well, always. We have met some characters there. All great to chat to and say hello. We tried Extra Cold Guinness but although refreshing we had brain freeze so had to take our time! Next pint we moved onto normal chilled, so need to be careful and alternate between.

Hired this pub for a party recently, private upstairs function room. Free to hire with a £50 deposit refunded after the event. The room has been decorated since the last party we had there 4 years ago. Good Points: we were given free rein to decorate, bring our own DJ and equipment, bring our own buffet and run our party completely. Small bar within the room although not always manned so we mainly ended up having to trek downstairs to buy drinks. Staff were all very friendly. Bad Points: A lot of stairs upto the room made it difficult for our guests a good few were over 60! going up and down to get drinks Bar in the room being manned at all times would have fixed this, the windows do not open in the room, this was particularly bad seen as it was one of the hottest days of the year and with no fans etc its was unbearable at times. We have used the Market Inn for parties before and would do again. It is defo just a venue and you are left completely to your own devices which we personally prefer. You can pay for DJ and/or buffet if required but we brought our own.
St Patrick's day fun. Fantastic band from 2 until 5. Great atmosphere & lovely food & Irish Leprechaun hat's given to every customer. Great touch for us Irish visitors.
Had a facelift since the last time I was there, looks great!, Great choice of beers on tap, snacks on the bar is always a winner!! 5*'s
Give this one a miss. Went here to watch the champions league game. Said their cheaper lager wasn't available but was earlier in the day when no one in. No cola available through the tap so had to buy a can of cola. Cheap vodka was sold at £2-40 a half. Don't go near this pub they're ripping people off.
